CHAPTER14

** THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW **

Allen sit down, water cup in hand, Becca is joining the group. He feel uneasy but excited for some reason as they game begins. Ito yata ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na naexcite siyang maglaro ng truth or dare maybe because of Becca is joining to the group. Sa tuwing naglalaro sila kasama ang mga kaibigan nila ay pinapakita niyang nag-eenjoy siya kahit ang totoo ay hindi naman. He’s faking it and everyone believes it.

“Let’s play truth or dare.” Warren starts and their other friends gather around the couch. Camille is passing around a bottle of vodca and Allen look away from it, drinking his water as if it was burning his throat in that familiar way.

Warren, Zach, Camille, Zoey, Ethan ,Aisa and other friends of them take turns drinking from the bottle. Becca watches them but doesn’t have any. Maybe she doesn’t like to drink. Even in party, she doesn’t drink any. Naisip ng binata na baka hindi pa nararanasan ni Becca ang malasing. How innocent she is. Paano niya kaya na enjoy ang life niya without socializing with their friends?

“You should play Becca,” Maxine came and smile to her as she join the game. Hindi alam ni Allen kung anong dapat niyang e-rereact gayong tumabi malapit sa kanya si Maxine. His ex-girlfriend hates Becca kaya kung pagtitrippan niya man to ngayong gabi ay talagang hindi na siya magugulat. How he wish he can save Becca now but he don’t want to look weird infront of them.

“No, I don’t play.” Becca picks at her finger nails and Allen glance at Ethan that was sitting beside Becca. He doesn’t look worried at all but Allen can tell by the short encounters that he’ve had with this girl that she’s stubborn as hell.

“Like she would actually play. Does she even know the mechanics?” The group laughs at her. Allen look at Becca who’s ready to give into their peer pressure. During the first few turns Zach drink quickly a beer, Maxine shows of her n****e to everyone. Becca’s eyes bulge and her cheeks turn a deep red. The hell? She almost shouted. How could this game be more …. Daring? And filthily hot? Now, regrets flash to her face. ‘Bakit pa kasi ako sumama sa larong ‘to?’ Sana pala ay sinunod niya na ang sarili niya kanina na umuwi na lang at mag trabaho sa mansion.

Tiningnan ni Becca si Allen na katabi ngayon ni Maxine. Minahal niya ba talaga si Maxine? Bakit hindi man lang siya nagalit sa ginawa ng babaeng minsan niyang minahal? Kabastosan ‘yun para sa isang babae ngunit napaisip ang dalaga kung normal ba talaga sa kanila ang larong ‘to. Napag-iiwanan na yata siya kung sakali man.

“Truth or dare, Becca?” Camille asks. Tila hindi nagrehistro sa kanyang isipan ang pagtawag sa kanya ni Camille at para bang pinagpapawisan ang kili-kili niya dahil sa kaba. Pakiramdam niya ay nasa oral recitation siya sa klase at unang tinawag ang pangalan niya. Ganon siya ka kaba.

“Truth?” hindi siguradong sagot ng dalaga. Napahinto sa pag inum ng tubig si Allen at hinintay ang itatanon ni Camille ng makita niyang may binulong si Maxine kay Camille. This is not good.

“Are you a virgin?” Becca’s eyes go wide, as usual and she makes a light choking noise. She’s quiet, embarrased at all. God. He know better that this girl is crazy. Kahit yata si Allen ay nahiya sa naging tanong ni Camille but at the same time is that he’s also curious.

“Camille,” sita ni Ethan saka napalingon sa dereksyon ni Becca. Kanina pa ito nag-aalala sa dalaga lalo pa at hindi ito sanay sa ganitong laro kasama ang mga dati nitong kaibigan.

“Well?” Maxine added. Allen want to get out to this place and grab Becca but at the same time he picture her naked body under his. Her voice, soft and subtle, would be making noises that no man has ever heard before. The thought is beyong intriguing.

She nooded.

Everone in the group, including Allen was shocked. ‘So, she’s not virgin.’ He can taste the disappointment in his thought. But she really act one. She acts as if she’s inexperience and now? Well, hindi naman sa gusto nito ng berheng babae dahil kahit si Maxine ay naikama na ng ibang lalaki bago pa man siya. It’s just, he never expect that this woman is kinda have an experience about s*x. He want to be mad but he just drink the cup of water.

“You know what, let’s stop this –“ Ethan said and stand.

“Ops!” pigil ni Camille, “You shouldn’t go like that, Ethan. We’re not done yet.” Pinisil ni Maxine ang braso ni Allen saka ito pasimpleng bumolong…

“Did you took her virginity?” muntik ng mabuga ni Allen ang tubig na ininum niya sa mukha ni Maxine dahil sa tanong nito. Kahit kailan talaga ay hindi gumagana ang braincells nitong babaeng ‘to.

I love it too, but, “Of course not! What do you think of me? Kahit sinong may butas pinapasukan? I have a taste.” Dugtong ng binata saka nag-iwas ng tingin.

“Allen, its your turn!” Camille said. “Truth or dare?”

“Dare,” he roll his eyes at the childish game. Like anyone thought he would choose otherwise.

“Take your shirt off for the entire game,” Maxine continued and Camille nooded. He have no choice and he take his shirt off. Allen looked at Becca who sit in silence. Observing. She’s staring, hard, so hard that she doesn’t even notice him catching her. Naghiyawan naman ang mga kasamahan nilang babae while Becca was still on the same page. ‘Akala ko ba ay may experience na siya sa ganito? Why act like a coy?’ he silently asked to himself.

The game continues and he sit here there half dressed and watch Becca try and keep her eyes off him. He can’t read her, he can’t tell if she’s disgusted by his body or she wants to touch it.

Interesting.

“Becca, truth or dare?” Maxine asks her as she rolled her eyes, “Why do I have to ask? We know she will say truth, duh..” pag iinarte ni Maxine just to tease her.

“Dare.” This girl really surprise them.

Maxine smirked as she said, “I dare you to take a shot of vodka.”

“Becca…” Ethan called her again.

“I don’t drink.” She sticks her chin out in refusal. Allen figured as much, but he’s pleased by this revelation. Everyone around this place can’t wait for their next high, its refreshing to have someone whos doesn’t want that. This girl is something.

“That’s the point, Becs.” Zach counter.

“Look, if you don’t want to do it..” Warren starts to tell her.

“Bro, don’t make her drink that.” Ethan continues.

“She’s such a weak freak.” Maxine says into Allen’s ear pero walang pakialam ang binata at nakatitig lang sa dalaga. ‘What will you do now? What will you choose?’ Allen asks as if he’s talking to Becca’s soul.

“Fine! One shot!” She said. Little miss, “I don’t drink, ever!” caved so easily. Actually, Allen was really disappointed. Not sire why but maybe because of the thought that she was different and she wasn’t like anyone of them.

I was wrong, obviously. Allen whispered.
