Raging Worlds

Kicking sand out of my boot and shaking my head side to side to dis-heave the sand from my hair, God I hate sleeping under sand! Such a messy thing to do, but hey when you are out late and the sun is raising it's nasty flaming head like the devil what's a girl to do. Memphis climbing out of the sand beside me shaking like he was just drenched in water, to remove all the sand. Giving me a look that I could only take as, "Really! Sand! Hold yourself togther woman!" laughing and gving him a good old belly rub. Last night was to much for my feels. I couldn't let things get to me the way I have. I have to stay alone and away from people before I bring on the apacolypse! Looking out over the black water and the moon hanging in the black sky, with his stars standing attention. My mind went to Christopher and the night we had and how magical it was. I have been alive for 1000 years and have never felt anything like that before. It scared me and I am not one that has anything to be scared of. It was all new territory for me, I did not like the feeling of not knowing what was ahead of me and what this new feeling with Christopher might intell. Sighing, feeling the all to familiar burning feeling in my throat, I smiled. This was what I was made for, to feed, to put fear into others, not to be a Queen like he wanted. I couldn't be around all those vampires and the stench of death for the rest of my days! I have been alone far far to long. "Let's get some food." All I heard was a whoosh and Memphis was off up the beach in search of somthing to eat. A smile tugged at my lips. Memphis and I is all I need. Running, to catch up with him, we were like the wind, an optical illusion. Running so fast, it was like we were in a time machine. I spotted two couples docking a boat and laighing as they climbed out onto the pier. This will be easy, I thought as I came to a halt with Memphis by my side leaning against the lightpost looking down at my nails as if I had been standing there for an hour. "Jordan!" a girl yelled back the the boat, "Dont forget my sandals!" "Yes darling, anything for you!" I pucked in my mouth a little and rolled my eyes. Lord, they was in love! I could smell alcohol breeze by me from were the four was coming from. "Yeah Jordan, don't forget the Princesses sandals!" The other male mocked. "Seth!" another girl hissed and small thud and humph came. "Geez, Jen! Why did you do that for!" "Just hush, you know Steph don't like when you call her that." "Well is she didn't act like one, I wouldn't call her that!" Seth groaned back. "Nevermind Jordan I'll get them myself." The one named Steph pushed herself by the one that they call Seth and went below deck. I was about to fall asleep with all the petty bullshit. Enough was enough. Barely above a whisper that humans couldn't hear. " Let's eat" Memphis was one the one named Seth and I was on the one named Jen. Screams of terror and surprised rose from Seth and Memphis growled and snarled and then quiet. Seth was gone. I dropped the one named Jen to the pier as Steph and Jordan stood paraliyzed by fear. Ah yes FEAR! This is what I rellish in, the smell of fear, the look of fear. To hear their hearts beating frantically like popcorn being popped. This is what I lived for. Glaring at the two licking the blood off of my top lip and smiling brightly at the two as the stared. Eyes wide open, waiting, froozen. "Eat" One word, one command and Memphis had the girl. The one named Jordan started to scream like a girl and I just couldn't help myself! Laughing, holding my stomach. It was just to much for me at that moment not to laugh loudly. In my laughter Jordan though he was going to be brave and try to stab me with a harpoon. Grabbing the harpoon in the air and he gave all he had to try and hit me. "You silly human! You think that you can kill me? Do you not know that you are my food and you are not at the top of the food chain anymore! Hmm well I mean you never were, you just thought you was." Pulling him with the harpoon to me, I grabbed him by his throat and pulled him closer to me. "I'm going to enjoy this, I love it when you all are fiesty!" Quicker than a snake, I struck and he was gone. "That was a enjoyable meal. Now let's go home Memphis." With a glance down to see those heavenly eyes looking up at me, we were gone in the way back to the city. ******************************************************************** Rolling to my side I could smell her on the pillow. A smile tugged at my lips, then realization hit me. I shot straight up in a sitting postion to see my whole coven looking at me, waiting on what we all were going to do. This was to say the least awkward, I dreamt of Veronica all day so I know I must have been talking in my sleep, as I eye the coven their sat Peter with a smiling playing on his lips. Yep he knew. Great I will hear that tonight. Rolling my eyes I heave myself out of Veronica's bed and stroll to Peter, as I made my way to him he rose from his chair and nodded. "So did everyone make it out and everyone is here and acounted for correct?" "All but one is accounted for My King." "Who is not here? Are they alive? I thought that you said everyone was here this morning?" My voice was raising with anger, I knew everyone was here when we arrived last night. How could he let someone slip by? Clearing his throat Peter looked at me, "Marissa is missing. She was here when the sun came up, but she has since left. Noone knows when she took her leave or where she has went." Turning from Peter I found Lily, "Lily, come here please." Lily fidgeted as she made her way to me. Somthing was off. Lily always looked like she was bored and nothing ever phased her, so why was she so jumpy?"Lily, do you know where Marissa has went?" Asking with authority in my voice, I didn't know who or what cause the fire and I didn't one of my coven memebers to be in danger. Looking down at her hands wrigning them together she spoke," I, I , think she went back to the Mansion." "Why did she go back there alone?" with one eyebrow raised I was perplexed at why she would put herself in danger. "She said that she was supposed to meet someone there. She had said that he was going to make everything right, that she would have everything that she had ever wanted. She just needed to find him and that he should be there." I hissed between my teeth, " What was she talking about Lily and who is this man?" "I, a, I, a, I don't know My Lord." Bellowing out " Peter, Marcus, Nathianiel! Find her! And find this man!" They were all three out the door before I could say anything more. I just knew deep down that this was trouble, but I didn't know what. Closing my eyes, trying to refrain from losing control, a howling sound thundered down the tunnel as the door blew open knocking me across the room. The whole coven was on their feet ready to pounce on whatever came through the door. Hissing from all corners of the room and low growls encircled me as my coven would fight to the death for me. Unfortunitlly I knew who was coming down the hall and they all would most certainly die. "Well, well what do we have here in my home? I smell the stench of death and it's not the people laying six feet under above us! I'm going to ask one time! Why are you in my home!" Veronica shouted down the hall. Boy she was pissed! Then the menacing growling from Memphis came. My coven looked around, because like I, they have never seen or heard of a vampire dog and the smell threw them all off. Standing up and motioning with my hand that it was alright. "Veronica, come in and I will explain everything." "Ha! You come out here, I will have to set sage and candles by the dozen to get the smell out of my home. I can't even stand to make it past the mortuary!" Sighing I moved to the door. "Stay here, I will be back." The coven all nodded or grunted, but the respected me so they would stay put. I wasn't like Micheal that lead on fear, I was understanding and I looked out for all them the way they looked at for me. You get a lot more with respect than you ever will with fear. That is where Micheal and the others were wrong, they all ran with fearing other vampires to keep them in line. I do not do that. I will not do that.
