Naughty Naughty Vampires

Slowly I moved up the hallway to the steps that lead out into the cemetary. Memphis's growling became more intense as I approached the opening. The wind was winding and whipping around, I wouldn't be surprised if there were little dirt devils raging everywhere outside.

Coming up out of the hole under the mortuary I spotter Veronica standing at the entrance, She was disheaved, her hair was like that of Medusa moving like it had a mind of its own. I knew she was mad, but I had to make her understand that they was nothing that I could have done last night to keep my coven safe. There was no time and I was out of options at that moment to not come here and keep everyone safe. She didn't know what it was like to have that comadry between other vampires. I had to try and make her see that it was smart and a great pleasure to have others around that you didn't have to hide what you were. Talk freely about anyhting that you wanted to talk about and have friends that had your back like you had there's. There isn't nothing I wouldn't do for my coven.

"Veronica, listen. I know you are mad and I understand why you are mad, but will you listen to my side before things get out of hand?" She eyed me with those white ice eyes with a hint of blue, and a stern nod, letting me know to continue.

"I had no choice, but to come here last night with my coven. The sun was approaching quickly and we would have all burned. It is my responsiblity to keep everyone of them safe. I will do what ever I can to keep them safe. I know you have been alone for along time and I know that the last coven you was in was not kind." She grunted at that statement, but stayed silent just staring at me. "Veronica do you understand my responsibity?" laying my hands out in front of me to let her know that I didn't mean no harm.

"Christopher you had better take your coven and find cover for tomorrow, you have no accdomations for the day." With that her and Memphis was gone into the night. Barley seeing her nor hearing either of them as they fled into the night.

Closing my eyes, drawing in a long breath and hanging my head. I knew in that moment that no matter how much I loved this woman, I do not think that she will ever beable to be with a coven. She has been alone for far far to long. Atleast I knew where she was. I didn't have to search any longer. I had found her and that is what I had wanted for the last 500 years. Was to know that she was safe and still alive. I had one night and I pray that will have more and I cant get her to turn another page. For now my coven was what mattered and I had to make them safe. I will come back and speak with her again.

Walking back down the hallway, I could hear them speaking to each other about what had just happened. I didn't care at that moment. I was in my leader mode and I was ready to lead and move them to safety. I also needed to find out what the hell Marissa was up too. I had way to many questions that was not answered and I didn't like it.

"OK! Let's go everyone. We will head to the next town over and I will call my connections and have a place in a couple hours. For now we will go to mansion and see if there is anything that can be salvaged." We all made our way to the mansion within minutes, but my mind wasn't on what could be found. I had found what I had been searching for. I had searched so long, for her. Now that I found her I am leaving her. I didn't know where to go from her to try and mess out two worlds together.

"My Lord!" Peter came rushing up towards me shaking me out of my thoughts. " We found Marissa, my Lord she is dead."

"What! What do you mean? How or who did this?" I felt my fangs explode in my mouth I was raging on the inside, I wanted to rip something to shreads! Why would she leave the safelty of the coven to come back here, before I sent the scoots to check things out.

"This way My Lord, you need to see her." Peter was visibly shook. Marcus and Nathinel just stood at attention with their eyes looking every where at once. They was on guard.

We walked through the gates up the circle driveway to the back of the mansion and there as plain as day was Marissa sitting in a chair like a sculpter. Her ankles was crossed, her hands was in her lap one on top of the other. Sitting like a proper lady should, sitting next to her was a letter. I went to touch her and Peter jumped in front of me. I eyed him with daggers.

"Christopher she has been decapitated. If you touch her, her head will fall off." Looking more closely I could see a thin line that went all the way around her neck.

I reached down for the letter that was laying next to her on the bench. It was old parchment with a seal apon the front, it was a dragon. I haven't seen this seal for 500 years. A chill shot through my body. Micheal had this seal, but he was dead. The only other that I knew had this seal was Ezickel. Ezickel was Micheal's maker and far older than I and Veronica. With a deep breath I broke the seal and staring reading the letter that was left.

My Dearest Christopher,

I am so glad that you have found my letter! It has been ages since I have last spoke with you. Though the only time we spoke was when I was ridiculing Micheal for turning you out of spit for that woman! But that is here nor there that was lifetimes ago! My vengenance isn't with you my son. It is with that woman. I am so glad that you have hunted her down, I have been patient and watching and following you silently for years. Finally my boy, you have came through andfoundwhat I have desired for years! I am sorry for the mess that I am sure you are standing in front of right now. She was no good for your coven, such a weak minded little thing. She was easy enough to get through to, to do what I wanted her to do. She set fire to your home: per my orders. I had to get you to move on my boy for I don't need you no longer and I don't need your coven getting into my way. This is not between them or you. So be a good lad and move on. Again thank you for your tiresome efforts to find this woman. I am in your debt.
