Chapter one

Victor is still preparing for School

The day was bright and fare as Victor woke up in the morning hours, he said his prayers and went straight way to do his morning chores, so that he will start going to school.

Good morning sir ( Victor saluted his father being Mr John), his father replied to the greeting from his son.

Victor did not hesitate to go straight to the kitchen to Carry the dirty plates in order to wash them before going to school, while his two siblings being Peculiar and Mirabel were sweeping the compound.

Victor was an obedient and intelligent child, he was referred to as his father's favorite, he has been known in the village as one of the intelligent and obedient youths in the village.

Victor was 16 years old and he is Basic3 class in the community secondary School located at mile2.

After Victor had finished his morning chores, he ate his food and took his bath and dressed up for school immediately it's 7:00 O. Clock AM, because he was the senior prefect in his school. He had to treck to school since there was no money on him and the parents were not bouyant enough to pay for his transport fee since the school was far from his home town.

On his way to school, he met his Class mate named Austin, and they both went to school together as they discussed along.

Austin is from the same community with Victor. Austin was an art student while Victor was a science student and he is leading in the school science classes as he was technically inclined.

Chapter two

Victor is in school.

Today is bright, it's bright and fair, oh happy day!, The day of joy....'

Victor heard the matching song from far and he ran, living Austin behind. Because, as the school senior prefect, he has to be in school as early as possible. But as the case my be, he came late to school late on that day.

Immediately, he entered the school gate, the proprietor saw him and called him. He went straight way to meet him, the proprietor"s countenance was not favourable at all, Victor knew what the problem could be since he came to school late.

Be fast my friend!!… The Proprietor shouted at him, at this time he became afraid of what whould become of him if the Proprietor will be angry with. Good morning sir, Victor saluted the Proprietor and he responded to him.

Why are you late to school today, you know today is Monday and you should be the first or among the first group of persons to be in school today( the Proprietor asked Victor). Sir, the reason is that..., Shut up( the proprietor shouted), what excuse do you want to give which will justify your lateness today. Anyway, you will answer the written query from the principal immediately we dismiss from school today.

Chapter three

The query

After school dismisal, the school provost brought the query to Victor and he accepted it immediately and was willing to know what it is all about.

When he got home, he opened the envelope and took the letter and started reading it.

The query read this:

"From the desk of the proprietor and staff of this school, it is has been noted for a while, that the level of late coming to school from you has been known among the student and staff of this school. You are hereby served this query and you are entitled to reply to this query within 24 hours.

Thank you."
