"I swear, I was sent to pick these gadgets!" I scream on top of my lungs but this woman wouldn't take a deep breath to listen to me carefully. A few more people hold me back as the woman retrieves the gadgets from me, and they kick me to the ground.
"This market is as popular as you having no wolf, yet you dared to steal from here." The woman raises her voice better, at me.
"Let her be. Next time you try this, I am going to deal with you very well." The owner of the gadgets points his fingers at me, his eyes looking dangerous.
The woman objects, "not everyone has an opportunity of a next time. Crowd, let's move her to the town hall."
I'm stunned by her words. I never gave in to fear despite the number of people around me who think I am a thief, but now I do. If there's a particular place I don't want to ever visit, then it is the town hall where I will be made to face the council of elders.
Sadly, the owner of the shop shrugs his shoulders, indifferent to the decision of taking me there. A few more people kick me to my feet and we are on our way to the town hall.
As we reach there, we aren't permitted to enter and that cools me off a bit. The woman dares to ask why from the security.
"The council of elders are in a meeting with Jack and Dylan. It's so important, so you can't disrupt it. Wait a moment." Shortly after saying this, he gives us access to enter.
Jack and Dylan are on their way out of the town hall when they notice I am the one to be reported. A fleeting smirk appears on Dylan's chin, as he retakes his seat, expecting to hear the full story.
The people holding me back push me to the front of the council, and I am on my knees, listening to the woman's explanation, both the correct and incorrect scenes.
"Sir---that particular." I would say whenever there's an incorrect scene explained by the woman but they would shut me up, including Dylan and Jack's deadly glares.
"Your crime increased by one level." The council of elders asserts, without even giving me an opportunity to express myself.
"I'm so sorry about the loss, woman. I will compensate you after this meeting." Jack assures the woman. I roll my eyes at her, knowing fully well she shouldn't be involved in this situation.
She pretends to have a sorrowful heart, displaying it through her countenance. My attention is drawn back to the council of elders when I hear a declaration.
"You are hereby sentenced to beating that will last for three days!" He declares his judgement, and the crowd finally leave, as well as the woman.
Jack and Dylan express their apologies to the council of elders for keeping someone like me in their pack as the wolves in charge of beating take me to their court, all in this same town hall.
"It's been four days now. May I return to my pack?" I plead with the council of elders but they don't agree.
"Torture her no more, but refrain her from moving out of the town hall." They order those in charge and I sigh shakily.
Hours turn into days and days into weeks, until a few of my pack members visit here again. I remain hidden in the room I'm locked up in, as I watch and hear them speak.
"Council of elders, we hail you. We bring to you today our intention of banishing weak wolves found in any pack of this district." They table the matter before him.
"Your intention is good enough but I will like to meet with the current and future Alpha of your pack.." It is almost approved.
My eyes glisten and I can't control my urges to move out of the room. I request to move out and the security guides me out. My pack members remain in the town hall and are delighted to see me.
"It's been a while, really. Can we return to our pack now?" I ask, sensing there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
My question is ignored again but the overwhelming presence of Alpha Jack and Dylan make me relaxed, as they bow to the council of elders.
"You requested for us." They chorus.
The council of elders nods their heads, "Yes. Your wolves can return to the pack. I have a few words with both of you."
I turn my back to them to return to the locked room but I'm called back.
"Just hold on." Dylan says. I smile at those three words. Does he want me now?
When they finally agree, Dylan rises to his feet as well as Jack.
"Having Omegas in a pack is disastrous. In fact, it's a curse to have a weak wolf present in a pack. This decision has been carefully made, and the final judgment has been agreed on." Jack faces me, starting to say.
"Starting from you, the decision begins to become effective. I, Dylan Kings, hereby reject you, Leah Young, as my mate and the future Luna for Mooncrest pack. Moving forward, with the authority placed in my hands, I hereby expel you from Mooncrest pack, starting from this day. You shall not, for any reason, find yourself in the pack, not anyday or anytime, not for any reason. The pack members reserve the rights to murder you if you're found around or in the pack." Dylan announces. I stifle a giggle to confirm if he's surely saying those words.
I go on my knees, genuinely pleading with Jack, Dylan and the council, "I have nowhere to go. Please take me back. I will do anything you ask me to do."
As though they had requested a crowd of people to barge into the town hall earlier, I begin to see the reflection of a lot of shadows. Once I look back, I am outside already. This angry crowd drag me back to the centre of the market straight up to the border, until they begin stoning me.
I scoot my feet to the other side of the road before they destroy my life with stoning. I begin to run hastily until all the energy within me is consumed.
Before I fall to the ground due to exhaustion, I can see a group of wolves screaming for me to get to them for some help, but they keep running towards me. Everything blacks out and I can no longer tell who is coming for me.
