I wake up to find myself on a hospital bed. I am stunned to find an Alpha and his Beta right beside me. Once my eyes snap open, they rush towards me with a little growth of optimism within them, that I will survive the harm.
"Are you fine now?" The deep sexy voice of the Alpha overwhelms me and I can't stop staring at his face. I quickly call myself back to order, nodding repeatedly.
"So, how did you almost reach this pack?" He inquires, and I begin to recall what happened last before I fainted.
"Thanks for the rescue, but I was banished from my pack and threatened not to return again. As though that wasn't enough, I was stoned until I was out of sight. So, I ran as quickly as possible." I explain to him but the expression on his face doesn't thrill me to explain further.
"All you can do is lie to me after the rescue?" He questions and I roll my eyes at the walls, not knowing what to say.
"What led you to the place we rescued you? Give me some correct information and I can confirm your identity." He says again.
"I swear, I was banished from my pack - Mooncrest pack and I'm Leah by name."
"Richy----" he refrains his beta from speaking but he later wins.
"Alpha Lucas, I think I believe her. Why can't you let me take a tour around that mentioned pack, acting as a tourist and I can get back to you for the feedback?" He suggests and I wink my eyes at his cooperation. He winks in return and I suddenly feel at home, except for the unbelievable but cute Alpha.
"Go ahead. But lock her in the pack cell until it is confirmed." He orders. I don't bother arguing with him since he's the Alpha and I'm sure Richy will confirm my identity pretty soon.
I spend only a few hours in the pack cell before I am summoned back to the Alpha's quarters. I majestically walk in, alongside with Richy. I shut the door behind me, approaching the Alpha. The smiles on his face are so dear, and attractive.
"Leah Young, I am sorry on behalf of myself and the pack in general for doubting your identity. Now that it is confirmed, we need to perform the pack membership ceremony where you have to denounce your pack and claim mine."
"Thank you. And, sure, I will be glad to denounce my pack to claim yours. When does that happen?"
He gesticulates to his beta, nodding slowly before returning fully to face me.
"It can happen right away. Follow me behind." He concludes, holding my hands and guiding me out of his quarters. Before I move out, I can see a different expression on Richy's face like Lucas has ripped him of something important.
I am made to face the whole pack before I mention those words. They all cheer, and Richy creep inside the ceremony, winking at me while maintaining a suspicious glance at the Alpha.
"We have a new pack member!" Lucas announces to his pack and they all cheer. I wonder if he had requested that they all gather before, or he had used his mind to contact them while I don't know. Since I am a weak wolf, how do I even say for sure these things are correct?
"I, Leah Young, denounce my former pack, mooncrest pack owned by Alpha Jack. I don't remain a rogue as a result. Moving forward, I claim Black Knight Pack owned by Alpha Lucas, as mine now and forever!" I announce to them as Lucas had asked me to.
He leads me back to his quarters after the signing into the pack.
"Now that you're a member, you need to be trained and have a strong wolf for yourself." He says, and my heart leaps suddenly.
"The best man for this job should be..." His words are interrupted by Richy's presence suddenly. I sense he has been searching for chances to meet with me one-on-one.
"I can handle the job. Leah, this way." He leads me swiftly out of Lucas' quarters, starting to show me around the pack.
"It's best to train yourself so you won't need any wolf's help majorly, to attack rogues." He informs me again. I shrug my shoulders, trying not to allow the fear within me reflect outside. I feel I will be laughed to scorn by my fellow wolves since I can't even shift.
"I don't find anything amusing in training." I finally muster the courage to speak and as expected, he's eager to respond and advise me on the decision to choose.
"Some humans were willingly turned into wolves and trained. Now, they are strong wolves. Some were mere omegas but noticed by the pack to have a potential of being a strong wolf, hence we took time to train them well and they have become strong wolves now. And mostly, we have wolves that are strong enough but we train them to be stronger." He begins to encourage me and I feel a need to be trained in this pack.
"I can do that tomorrow, right?" I ask him, and he replies with a smile. I raise my brows quizzically, expecting a NO or YES from him.
"Oh, yes!" He responds and we're back at the Alpha's quarters.
"Did you start training already?" Lucas asks, coming out of his room to get a few things outside the pack.
Richy rather moves closer to explain to him. They both nod their heads afterwards.
"Leah, please stay in the pack till you're able to afford an apartment of your own." Lucas informs me, looking concerned. I feel unworthy of the favor suddenly and I retort, "no, thanks. I will work for the pack if I am to stay anyways. I don't mind working as a maid even."
"Really?" Lucas' deep voice is here again. I can't absorb enough of the husky sweet voice.
"Yes."
"You can stay, working as my personal maid then. Beginning from this moment." He declares and I sprint forward to appreciate him. As I leave, I can hear Richy confronting him.
"You have never wanted anyone as your personal maid. How come now?" Richy confronts, impatiently waiting for a response.
"Keep your voice low. Leah isn't just a mere werewolf, there's something special about her that I'm yet to discover."
