As I drove through the gates of my new home, I couldn’t help but think about how I would look Cael in the eye when I saw him. I had just asked for a background check on him since I couldn’t trust him. Was it really possible for me not to let it show?
I was met by the head of housekeeping staff, Lily. I expected her to smile as I approached but she didn’t. I could swear she glared at me at some point.
