The pack living remainder
The moon rose without mercy.
it cast it's pale light over houses, the pack grounds and over wolves who laughed and slept in warmth. And over her.
She knelt at the edge of the training field, body shaking and finger numb from scrubbing blood off the dirt-packed floor. Not her blood_never hers
Faster.
The command struck like a whip
She continued scrubbing, never looking up.She knows better that it only brings trouble
To them,she wasn't a girl neither a wolf.
She was the daughter of a traitor .
The name followed her like a curse, whisphes when she pass.Used when kindness was forgotten or never remembered-which was always.
Her parents crime have been spoken of in fragments, half truths passed down like poison.Blood sold to enemies. No one ever explained it fully. No one ever cared to.
They had been exiled under a blood moon and she had been too young to follow.
So the pack kept her instead like the remainder of shame.A warning of what happened to those who stepped out of boundaries.
She finished the task in silence and stood when dismissed ,her body aching.
The pack palace stood magnificently in the middle of the pack towering above her and has she heeded to the slave quarters she felt herself being watched but never dared to turn around and have a look because it's forbidden.
Even though she has always been watched,it felt different tonight. The air turned heavy, charged and ominous.
Her step slowed.
No
Not tonight
Not ever.
Fate has never looked at her this way.why would it start now.
Her wolf stirred for the first time in years-uneasy, whispering.
She was nothing.
She was unchoosen.
She was invisible.
And yet, beneath the unforgiving moon, destiny shifted.
But this night will be the beginning of everything they will one day regret.
