Chapter Eight

The day goes on and more and more wolves come. Alphas here lunas there and there are so many. I can’t believe my dad knows so many people honestly. I really don’t believe it.

After dinner we all head to our rooms. Tomorrow is a big day. Some of our guests are here in the pack house with us. Some are in our hotel that we own not too far from here. It’s really amazing how many people came to celebrate my birthday.

I head to my bathroom and straight to my mirror. Hey Artemis, how's it going in there? You have been awfully quiet since my uncle and family came. Is it becoming too hard for you to hide our scent? No darling, it's not getting harder. You will soon find out how strong we are. Until then though I’m doing just fine. I just want to make sure. You haven’t really said anything to me. I understand you hiding. But you are so quiet that sometimes I feel like I lost you. I just want to make sure that’s not the case.

I’m okay darling. Thank you for asking. I truly appreciate it. As for your guests, more and more are coming. I will say though Jon. We can trust him. No worries there okay. Believe everything he says and do it as well. Trust me Athena something is about to go down. We are going to need his help okay.

Artemis, what in the world are you talking about? How can you say those things? You don’t even know Jon. Heck I don’t even know Jon. What exactly is going to happen? Why do you say it’s something big?

Artemis you’re going to have to stop talking to me in riddles. Just come out and say it already. I’m dying to know. This just isn’t fair anymore. Being kept in the dark is not nice.You and dad are up to something. You guys are keeping me in the dark on purpose. I don’t like the way this is making me feel. Why won’t you guys just tell me already?

It’s not that we don’t trust you thena. It’s just that you might not make it if we do. Not in the sense of living but of feeling. It is just something that must happen. But you will find out soon enough. No doubt about that, just trust your gut.

I shake my head and just give up. No one will tell me anything right now. I’m just going to have to try to find out for myself. I start to take off my clothes and jump in my shower. Taking my time and just enjoying the hot water running down on my body. I take my body wash. Lavender scent and start washing my body. Starting with my arms I rub back and forth making sure I get every inch of my skin. Doing the same to the other arm just enjoying the moment. The hot water, the scent of the body wash, the steam from the water. This shower is everything right now.

After scrubbing myself down and enjoying my shower. I get out and grab my towel. Walking into my room I scream. AHHHhh!!!!! MOM YOU SCARED THE s**t OUT OF ME!!! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU IN MY ROOM FOR??

Sweetie you have been in the shower for like an hour and a half. I just wanted to be the first person to tell you happy birthday!!! It’s after twelve you silly girl. Or shall I say woman now. She gives me a hug. Happy birthday my sweet girl. I’m so honored and proud to be your mother. You are the greatest gift that I have ever gotten. Thank you for coming to me and making me your mother.

The goddess knew what she was doing when she sent you to me. The goddess always knows what she's doing. Never forget that I always love you and I always will. Nothing will ever change that.

What is your wolf's name? I look at my mom with a shocked face of course. Hearing Artemis laughing in my head She says. Of course Carmen knew already didn’t she? I stood there in shock of what Artemis just said. Artemis, how do you know Carmen? Sweetie, I know Carmen and Eddy. They are my parents too, you know. My wolf’s name is Artemis mom. She starts crying, that is a lovely name.

Mom, how did you know that I had my wolf already? You can’t smell the difference can you? No darling I can’t. I just had a gut feeling and so did Carmen. I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you mom. Artemis made me promise. I had to do it. It’s okay sweetie I understand there’s no worries here. I’m just happy that you told me now. I can’t wait to see her later. Or to tell dad that I already knew. I’m very excited.

Thank you mom. I appreciate it. Your welcome sweetie now gets some rest. We will see each other in the morning. You're going to need all the energy you can get. Tomorrow is a big day, you know. Good night sweetie she says as she walks out.

As soon as she does I throw on a tank top and some short shorts. I can’t help but see his face as I’m laying down. He’s tall. Long hair. His face is just all I see. I have no idea why but I honestly can’t wait to see him again.

Lenny’s pov

Dad, I'm coming in. I do hope you guys are dressed. Walking in without an answer I see my dad sitting on the corner of the bed. Dad, where's mom? She is with your sister right now. Downstairs with Luna I believe. Good cause I have to talk to you about something. I don’t really want mom and Sarah to know about it just yet. You can’t tell no one really. Deal?

Does it have something to do with the way Athena was holding your hand? Cause those eyes of yours were staring pretty hard at her.

Yes dad she’s my mate. My soul mate dad. She’s my one and only. The one I’ve been waiting for. Everything in the book. Her scent alone makes me want to go crazy dad. It makes me want her even more.

OH MY GODDESS!! She smells like fresh strawberries and pancakes. Like if you were just waking up for breakfast and there they were. Freshly done, freshly picked. Everything about her just smells wonderful.

It’s driving me crazy dad. How in the world am I supposed to be next to her and not touch her.Thank the goddess everyone is turning in for the night. Cause if not I would be screwed dad. I see the way alpha Victor's son stares at her. First off, it's creepy that’s his cousin. He should totally be ashamed of himself. I don’t know if I can be around her and not touch her dad.

Well son first off congratulations on finding your mate.Finally it’s about time. That means that I can retire now. Me and mom can be free and enjoy life.

She will also make a great luna son. Not to mention she is the warrior princess. This will also make her parents extremely happy. This will also make our packs stronger and bigger. I’m truly happy for you son. You have a great match.

Now when exactly are you going to tell your mother and sister? You do know those two are going to over react. Like to the extreme. They are going to be more excited than me.

Dad, I have no idea. All I know is that it can’t happen until after I speak with Athena. We have to speak to one another first. I need to know if she will accept me. Before I tell the world and anyone else who will listen that she’s mine.

I mean you heard her earlier today right. Do you think she will accept me? Do you think she will say yes to me? Oh goddess I hope she does. I don’t know if I can reject her dad. I’ve never done that before.

Woah, their son calm down. You're right I did hear what she said today. She said that she wasn’t looking for her mate. She also said that if he was here she wouldn’t be mad about it either. I’m pretty sure that’s your answer right there buddy. I honestly don’t think you will have a problem.I believe she will accept you.

Thanks dad, I mean your words comfort me a little. Not that much because she has to give the last answer. Thanks for the advice though. I think I’m going to just head to my room now. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.

Son before you go. There's something I want to tell you. I just want you to know that if you ever mistreat her. I will kick your ass. She is my best friend's daughter. You treat her well.
