Chapter Thirteen I don’t remember the walk back to my room. Probably Joanna moved alongside me, monitoring now with extra scrutiny this most dangerous of houseguests. Maybe Del followed at a distance, to make sure I made it back to the suite that would now serve as my much-smaller prison. I was just one moment in the hothouse and the next moment curled up on my bed, raw and wretched.
