Lynn returned to Alexis’s living room after finding a DVD for Calista to watch in her bedroom. Katie had followed them to Alexis’s apartment and sat curled in a ball on the sofa. “I put Cinderella in for her. That should keep her occupied so that we can talk. My sister always loved it when I would put those in when she was little.” Lynn stopped when she realized what she had carelessly said.
