“I must say that you have a beautiful family. Your wife is an incredible cook.” William stopped just outside Lynn’s apartment complex, turning towards her with a smile. “Thank you for calling me tonight. I had a nice time.”
“I did too.” Admittedly, the night had gone far better than she’d expected. William and Alexis carried on a consistent conversation throughout dinner. “Alexis and I are taking the girls to the Bronx Zoo tomorrow. Would you…like to come with us?”
William’s eyes brightened. “I would love to come with you. The girls are so sweet. Morgan seems a little shy though are you sure she’ll be okay if I tag along?”
“Morgan is just a little cautious of people, especially men. She was living on the streets prior to when her biological mom left her at a shelter my friend operates.”
