The darkness felt peaceful for just a moment before I felt something lurking in the darkness. I didn't need to see it to know what it was, it had been the very thing that had been stalking me in my nightmares more recently. "What do you want?" I called out, trying not to sound scared, despite the fact that my voice was cracking in fear. "Why do you fear me, Isabelle?" The all-too-familiar woman's voice seemed to echo through my mind and break my little, small peace that I'd had for a moment. "Who says I fear you?" I looked around for her for a moment and then found her standing opposite me, looking at me.
