CALIX
It's been a long day I could tell we were all tired even for an assassin she looks pretty drained. She had hardly slept in the airplane and was awake at all times. Antonio had slept but who could've slept sound fully in a tight airplane seat with many people walking in out of their seat. As for me I had barely slept. It was Lethia that convince me to sleep in the last few hours in the airplane ride from Los Angeles, America to Okinawa, Japan.
However, I could hardly sleep my nightmares was coming back for me like it did several years ago. What had happened yesterday did outdone me. It was like Amy death had only happened yesterday and I was the caused for her death. I still can't forget her sleeping face on that grass. I wished I could hold her again, but the second I wanted to feel her again. She shattered making me think about how fragile our love really was.
I held onto the ring, and the minute the door was opened into Antonio mansion. A young adult came through the door and we were greeted by many servants. It was not a surprising thing. Antonio's family is pretty well known throughout the world who owns one of the largest Aquamarine in the world who also funded in a research of marine biologist.
A butler I recognized from my childhood appeared in the door step taking a bow of courtesy addressing us. "Welcome back, bocchan and Calix-sama."
"It's been a long time, Kaito," I said.
He smiles and bows. When he looks behind me he was surprised and I can't blame him that woman behind me looks too much alike to Amy. He knows that I have a girlfriend and died he even went to her funeral even saw the dead body with both of his eyes.
"This is Lethia," I introduced to Kaito. "She is a friend."
He nods not saying anything. Lethia looked around the mansion as we walked up the stairs. He showed us into three bedroom right next to each other. "Dinner will ready at 6 pm. Please take this time to rest fully."
"Thank you," I said before he walked off. I went inside my bedroom and headed to shower. I filled up the bathtub hoping to get the stiffness off of my neck, but once I did I broke down. Tears streamed down my gaze as I try to find the coldness of the floor for comfort as the faucet rains down on me. I don't think I can ever escape from this love.
I can never stop thinking about Amy. I need her, and then being with Lethia remind me of her even more.
I wished Amy was still alive, and I wished I could apologized for not being able to save her. Everything was my fault. I cried till my body fell into exhaustion and finally taken a quick shower before coming out of the shower. I took out my cellphone and called to my aunt Layla.
My face was brought into a smile immediately when my sister face came up to the phone. It's a pity I can't bring her with me to Japan but she'll be safer with my aunt. "Calix!" my sister yelled happily. "Are you ok, Calix? Why is your face red? Are you sad?"
"No," I sniffed a tear away. "I'm alright Jamica. How are you with Aunty Layla?"
"Aunty Layla had bought me many crayons to draw today. Look!" She placed the drawings up to the camera, and my gaze widens. My heart nearly jumps out of my chest. Something about Jamica drawings scares me.
"What had you drawn?" I questioned Jamica.
"Can't you tell," she asked. "This is a picture of an owl standing in a tree at night and Amy is singing a lullaby."
"What lullaby, Jamica? Can you hear the lullaby?"
She shook her head. "I know I can't but I know only Lethia and you can."
"Why is that?"
"Because only the chosen one can hear those lullaby, Calix. And you and Lethia are the chosen one."
"Who told you all of these things, Jamica?"
"Amy did. She has always been with us, Calix. She even told me that she'll come back to us someday, and she did."
"Jamica, why are telling me this now? Why not sooner?"
Jamica looks at out an empty space like someone was there, but I could clearly see that no one was there. She was only by herself. "Because," Jamica looks at the camera. "Amy said its a surprise."
