It's been a week since Miles and I argued over his ex, he has been trying to reach out to me over texts and calls but I don't reply nor pick his calls at all.
I don't know, maybe I took things too far that day. But hey, don't blame me, I was angry after seeing the text.
I haven't been feeling well lately, but I can't tell Miles because we argued all about his ex and what hurts is , he talked like he was defending her.
What was I supposed to do or think. But now I miss him and maybe I should hear his side of the story before I decide.
"It's been a week since I last talked to Miles and he has decided to stop trying because I have been ignoring him. Anyway, today I want to let go of all the nonsense and start afresh. I'm ready to hear his side of the story" I convince myself.
I decide to call Miles but his phone just rang until it cut. "What's up with this guy, why is he not picking up my call?" I ask myself wondering why he's not picking. Anyway since I know the road he likes using after work, I will just go there so we can talk in person. "Great! I will just use the road he uses when going home after work, so we can talk in person. It's even a good idea" I tell myself and sigh.
Few hours later...
It's time to knock off from work, so I check myself like always, but today I clean myself a little extra because I want to look great since I'm meeting Miles after a week without commutation.
"Well, I really miss my Miles today and I bet he has missed me even more" I convince myself with so much confidence.
So I quickly pack my things and I'm ready to close my office. I book a taxi like always and drop off from where Miles likes dropping from.
"It's 6pm, I hope Miles hasn't passed here yet" I tell myself anxiously.
It's been about 10 minutes since I've been standing at this roadway waiting for Miles, it's kinda getting cold and I'm not wearing my jersey, I forgot it at the office because I was in a hurry to meet Miles.
I'm really cold, so I start rubbing my hands on my arms while turning away from where I was facing. I see Miles from afar, great, he hadn't passed yet. I almost left this place because I had thought that maybe he has already passed here.
Miles is walking towards me while pressing his phone, I wonder who is making him this busy that he can't even pick my phone calls.
Wow, Miles almost bypass me because his entire attention is on the phone, ouch.
"Really Miles, are you seriously bypassing me? what's so important on that phone that you can't even notice me?" I ask him emotionally. "Amira? What are you doing on the middle of the road alone?" he asks surprisingly as just noticed it's me his love.
"I was trying to reach you today, but you didn't pick up my phone calls, so I decided to talk to you in person. Why didn't you pick my calls?" I ask him waiting to hear a sorry from him.
"There's nothing between us to talk about, that's why I didn't have the have time to pick your call" he replied emotional less with so much venom in his voice. "Wait what? You purposely didn't pick my calls?" ouch, is this for real. This is not the Miles that I know. My Miles is too caring and he loves me a lot, so then who's this guy? At this point, I'm really confused trying to figure out what's going on.
"Yeah you heard me right. You honestly chose to listen to what Abigail texted you than what I had to say to you and then you decided to ignore me completely for one good week and now you come here like nothing happened? You have got to be joking. I'm done, I don't want anything to do with you, if it's so easy believing my ex then there's no need to continue because this clearly shows that you don't trust me. Go on and continue listening to others than me" Miles tells me with a anger voice and bypass me, completely ignoring my tears, he left me here standing and crying and he didn't bother to look back.
I've never cried for a guy, but today I'm socked in tears and I can't even stop myself. Was he just using me all this time and found a reason to break up with me?
"Fine then. If you have chosen to walk away, I'm not gonna cry" I tell myself, yet I can't stop crying. I turn around, facing my home direction. I don't even want to book a taxi, I'm still in shock over what just happened. I'm no longer feeling cold, but my tears can't stop falling from my eyes going down my cheeks.
