KATHERINE’S POV
Jessie and the attendants finished dressing me just before sunset and the palace guards escorted us to the airstrip behind the southern tower, the royal jet was already prepared and the other royal women were boarding so I followed them and stayed close because I didn’t want unnecessary attention.
The flight was not long but the ladies used every minute to talk and they did not care that I was listening, they spoke about Lord Draco’s health and said he would not attend his own event because he was still too weak to stand. One of them said the rumours were getting worse and that people believed it was his wife who poisoned him because she hated the arranged marriage and another woman added that Lady Valee never tried to hide her dislike for him so it sounded believable.
