THE CAVE
Huldar glanced up as the midday sun and stifled a yawn. Somehow they had managed to tidy up the lake-side before lunch, but the rest of the day would no doubt be spent in semi-convalescence without any meaningful work accomplished at all. He had stayed to make a final check of their picnic spot, but before he could finish assessing the damage, he was startled to see the Overlord returning down the bank.
“Radätel.” He held up his hand. “is there a problem?”
The overlord shook his head. He seemed out of breath, as if he’d hurried.
“Apologies for the rest of the day,” Huldar said. “I’ve told the Uri’madu to take it easy, but I’m sure we’ll be able to catch up once we are all rested.”
