The boy next door

I sat down after much work and doze up, after nearly two hours, my secretary woke me up, and inform me of a meeting with board of directors. I had to take my bath in the toilet that was attached to my office, the meeting lasted for an hour, and I called it a day, because of a split headache. I was so surprised, excited and worried, after 10 years I finally saw him, he's still the same, just grown matured. He's the love of my life. I started to recall the past. I was 12 years when my dad was transferred to Kano, being a military personnel means having a tour in the country, because military officers are transferred almost at anytime. My name is Fatima, I was named after my grandma, I was called Amira as a sign of respect, I'm fulani tribe, one of the popular language in Nigeria from Kano State. My dad is a land army officer, he is currently in the rank of Major, he's hardworking and loving father, we're a family of five, I have two elder brothers, Saddiq and Umar. Being the last born and the only girl in the house gave me some leverage, everyone pamper me, but I still know my limits because my mom is strict. My parents and siblings are happy going back to Kano, while I'm a little sad because I will miss my friends, but thank God for internet and phones, we'll still be in touch. We already have a wonderful house and everything was set up nicely, my parents are waiting for school to end so that we can get transfer and go to Kano. After few days we wrote our exams and say our goodbyes, and board a plane to Kano.
