Kaima got married to a rich man named Prince. She was very happy because the man gave her anything she wanted. Prince opened a big restaurant for her since she was very good at cooking. They lived together in their two stores building but it was about five years now since she got married to Prince and she doesn't have a child. She was worried and she called her dad, and told him about it. “Don't worry my daughter, everything will be fine"; Charles, Kaima's dad said. “But dad, Prince's family is going to throw me out of the house and you know Prince, he does not have a say"; replied Kaima. “Why don't you wait for them to talk about it before you get sick"; said Charles. “I promise not to think of it again and also promise to do everything on my part to be pregnant", she replied. It is almost six years now, Kaima still does not have a child. Prince's family has been mocking and raining abuses on her, saying that she is barren but Prince still loves her and always defend her saying that they are waiting for God's time which is always the best. “God's time you say, when you are bound to be a childless man with this barren thing under your roof", yelled his mom. “But mom, she is not barren, she is a woman who is going to have children", replied Prince in a respectful manner. “Stop defending someone that is against and is not even ready to give you an heir to your inheritance", shouted Lisa, his elder sister. Kaima who was seated there crying, was tired of the whole thing, left the scene and Prince followed to comfort her having been disappointed already. His mom together with his two sisters were shouting and telling Kaima to return to her father's house. The next day, Kaima went to her Leena, her friend and narrated everything to her. Leena on the other hand told her that there was a solution. “What am I going to do?", asked Kaima interestingly. “I suggest you go to a traditional priest and get a charm that would make Prince love and stick to you and also make his family stop disturbing you", Leena suggested. “You mean all this will happen when I'm not pregnant?", Kaima asked again. “Yes and stop when you are pregnant. You know that once you are pregnant and have a child of your own, your husband's family will be happy", explained Leena. Kaima listened but one word her dad said to her before she got married came to her mind;“Rely on God and not on fetish things". She could not talk but only remained silent which made her friend afraid. “Are you okay", Leena asked. “Oh yeah, I'm fine", replied Kaima. “So when are you going to visit the priest?", Leena asked excitingly. Kaima quickly cut her excitement. “No, don't worry, we won't go, I think there is some better way out of this", replied Kaima. Her friend just sat there speechless, trying to understand what she just said. She expect Kaima to accept the suggestion without any doubt. “You mean you're not going to do this?”, Leena asked. “Yes, I will not want to do anything that will add another problem to me. I need to go", Kaima replied and went to her house. kaima decided to visit a pastor to pray for her without the knowledge of her husband. She left the house one Sunday evening to a nearby man that claimed to be a pastor. He accepted her into the small office that contained only a table and a chair. She told her problems to the pastor and he prayed for her. After praying for a long time, the unexpected happened. He told Kaima to pay the sum of hundred thousand naira for the prayers of which she did not expect. To her surprise, the pastor told her that she would have thirteen children in all. She was shocked at first but later told the pastor that she would go to the house and bring the money. “Please bring it fast,God needs it now”, added the pastor. When Kaima got home, without the knowledge of Prince, she quickly took hundred thousand naira from her savings to the pastor and was waiting for her first pregnancy. The following day, she decided to visit the pastor again for counseling on what she should not do to prevent her from having her children but on getting there, she could no longer see a church but a bar and the pastor that prayed for her was the owner of that bar. kaima now understood that she had met a fake pastor. She cried and cried but couldn't even meet the Police to report because she knew it was her fault. She thought that nothing going will ever come to her, she now remembered what her friend told her to do and what her dad said. kaima could not tell her experience with a fake pastor to her husband the next day. Rather,she asked him if he knew any good and committed man of God.Prince said that he knew of one. They went together to meet the pastor. The pastor prayed for them, counselled them and told them to pray to God every day, that He would make a way. They thanked him and offered to give him money but he refused and told them that he doesn't receive money for his services. They went home satisfied and together they prayed. It is a day of Joy when Kaima received the pregnancy test result and it was positive. She felt like overturning the Doctor's table to know if it was really true. She left the hospital, entered her Mercedes Benz, played a very wonderful song in a loud volume and drove home. People wondered if the volume was not affecting her. When she got home, she was expecting to see Prince but instead, she saw her mother-in-law and two of her sisters-in-law. The looks on their faces showed that they came for war and Kaima was ready for them. “Now that you are back, where is the child that will inherit the possessions of my brother, asked Lisa”. “Why are you making that a problem to you and how is that your business?”, Kaima stammered. “She even has the gut to open her mouth to say something”, Heather, the second sister interrupted. “Please I don't know what you all are doing here but I am very tired and I need to rest”, explained Kaima. “And where do you think you are going,oh! you think we are joking right. Look young woman, you have no place here, it is either you give us a child or you return to your dad's house”, shouted her mother-in-law. “So you mean you all came from your houses to throw me out of my husband's house,hmm!, that's a jobless thing to do cause I'm not going anywhere, so go back to where ever you came from. I am no longer the woman you knew, God has blessed me because I had patience and relied on him I am one month pregnant so all of you who thought I would never have a child, that's a useless thing to think. Please excuse let me go and rest", Kaima said and went to her room. The three of them stood there speechless.
