What am I supposed to do then? I do feel safe here, but I still feel a little held back. I want to pull my weight and make sure I can get back into a working woman who isn't afraid of a man. "Okay. That is doable. I know I already feel safe here and, hopefully, after the court with Brett I will feel free. But I would like to maybe cook a few times and try to do a little work." I told them both. I want to feel like I am independent and that Brett would have nothing against me. "That's fine as long as you feel okay," Luke said. I was getting tired, so I told them I was headed to bed.
As I was walking up the stairs I could feel luke's eyes watching me. He must have gotten up from the table and I hadn't noticed. I wanted him so badly. I wanted him to hold me and tell me everything was okay. I wanted him to just be with me. I swayed my hips as I was walking up the stairs hoping that he would want to come to my room. But that didn't work, because when I got to the top, I looked and he was gone.
I walked down the hall to my room and just as I was about to open my door. I feel a hand go around my waist. Not what I was expecting because Luke didn't follow me up. That is when I smelled it the stinch of beer and whatever else he could get his hands on. Wait how did he ger here?!!? "Didn't think you would see me again did you b***h!" Brett was here and had his hands on me. Okay I can get out of this. "What are you doing here again Brett? I told you we was done!" I yelled the last part hoping that someone would hear me. "Stuipd w***e I told you I own you and that your mine and will always be mine. That baby is mine and I don't want it! So I'm taking you back to get rid of it and you." Brett was really strating to scare me and no one has come up the stairs yet. "Brett please don't please don't....how did you get up here?" "Oh that was easy you see...your little tiny brain left the window open. I just climbed up a ladder through the window. I knew you was a stuipd bitch." I took that time to practice what little self defence I remembered a long time ago. I took my hand and made a fist and hit him right in the balls. He let go of my waist and I ran down the steps.
When I got to the kitchen Luke and Jasmine jumped up and asked me what happen. I told them Brett was upstairs and I punched him in the balls. Luke ran up the stairs to get Brett and Jasmine came over to me. I could tell she wanted to tell me something but this wasn't the right time. In the mist of all these someone had called the cops. Just as Luke brought Brett down the stair the cops came and took him away.
We went into the livingroom and set on the couch. Great this has really messed my stay up now. All I could think about is if they would still allow me to stay here. I had no where else to go. "Well this isn't what we was expecting but with Brett's background it shouldn't have surprised us." Luke said. What was he talking about? "We should have told you this earlier, but there was never really a right time. Brett is the head of the Silverstone mafia." "WHAT!!! When was you going to tell me? A judge will never get him! Great he is going to kill me and the baby! What am I going to do?!" Luke looked at Jasmine then back to me. Jasmine shook her head then turned and walked into the kitchen. Luke looked back to me and walked slowly over to me. Yup this is it...Luke is going to tell me to leave. He looks into my eyes the at my lips, and every so slowly he starts to kiss me. Not what I was excepting but it works.
I kiss him back hoping this never ends. This is all I have wanted was to find someone to love me and not be mean to me like Brett. Luke pulls back "So we need to talk about Brett. I know you don't like to talk about him and everything but it has to be done." I wasn't ready but I guess I would never be ready. Jasmine walked in and the look on her face told me tonight I wasn't getting much sleep. "So the station just called and said that Brett made bail...Which we knew that would happen. The judge called in a favor and court is tomorrow. So let's get ready to finally put him in a place he belongs." Jasmine said. Okay this is really happening...maybe I can do this.
