Chapter 8

The outside had a sign that read Women's Health/OBGYN Clinic. He opened the door for me and I walked in. First this was not a doctor's office that I was expecting. They had aroma difusers with what smelled like lavendar. It smelled really good and was making the atmosphere really relaxing, A short chunky woman was at the reception area. She looked at us and smiled "Hello. Welcome to Women's Health/OBGYN Clinic. My name is Missy. How may I help you?" "Howdy Missy. My girlfriend has an appointment today with Dr. Robinson." Luke said. "Aww yes. Miss Annabeth and Luke Lawson?," she said.

"That's correct.," Luke said. "I just have a few papers for you to fill out. If you don't mind filling this out and bringing them to me when you are finished.," she said while handing us the papers. "Yes ma'am," Luke said. We took a set in the waiting room. Luke handed me the papers and I started filling them out the best I could. Luke helped me with what he could and we left some blank. You would think they was writing my life story. After filling them out Luke got up and handed them to Missy. "Someone will call you back in just a few.," she said.

Luke came back and set beside me. I was lost in thought thinking how Brett could be so mean to me but yet I still wanted him here. Luke grabbed my hand and gave it a little squeeze to pull me out from my thoughts. What felt like forever fianlly ended when a nurse came and called my name. She showed us to a room and said I would need to get undressed from the waist down. Great *blushes* how can I ask him to step outside. We are suppose to be together and now its going to look weird if I ask him to wait outside. Luke could tell I was uncomftable and looked at his phone. "Hey I need to make a call. I'm going to step right outside okay babe.," he said. "Uh okay...yeah honey thats fine.," I said. Once Luke stepped outside I got undressed which was easy since I had on a sundress. Bad part was I had no where to hide my thongs. So they was just setting in the chair..I didn't think this through. The doctor and Luke will see my thongs. I am so embarrssed right now.

Here I am setting the room at my first baby appoitment alone. I feel so bad because Brett isn't here. After a few minutes Luke came back in. He had this look on his face that he wanted to tell me something but she wasn't for sure. I wonder what this is about. "So umm I don't know how to tell you this. Her PI's found some more evidence that can help the case. But you will more than likely have to go in front of a judge and tell them everything he did to you.," he said. "What?! Luke I don't know. What if he tries to hurt me or the baby.," I asked. He was fixing to tell me more and the doctor walked in.

*The next bit is going to be a conversation between doctor/luke/Annabeth

Doctor Robinson: Why Hello! Luke it's so good to see you! Oh My! You must me Annabeth! Darling you are so beautiful. Now Jasmine said you was needed an OBGYN because you are pregnant?

Me: *Looking at her like she is crazy* Yes. I found out a few days ago.

Luke: Howdy Doc. Robinson. It's good to see you too and yes Annabeth found out she is pregnant! I knew Jasmine had some awesome friends and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my love and my child.

Me: Jasmine said you was the best.

Doctor Robinson: Well I wouldn't consider me the best. But thank you Luke and Annabeth. I just need a few dates then we will do an ultrasound and see the little peanut(s).

Me: Sure

Doctor Robinson: When was the date of your last monthly cycle?

Me: I think it was June 15th? My periods are messed up so it's hard to guess.

Doctor Robinson: Okay. That's okay so let me look at my chart. It looks like you are due March 22nd of next year. I think that puts you to be around 2 months pregnant.

Me: Oh wow! I had no idea. When I missed my period I just thought it was my normal cycle. I am not even showing.

Doctor Robinson: *laughs* Usually you start showing around 3 and half to 4 months. But all pregnancies are different. I assume this is your first? Have you had morning sickness?

Me: Yes, I have had morning sickness and yes this is my first.

Doctor Robinson: Morning sickness is normal as long as your gaining weight. Great! I will get some papers on pregnancy for you and Luke to read over. I also recommend some classes for you to go to and Luke.

Me and Luke: Okay doctor

Doctor Robinson: Now lets do an ultrasound. If you will just lay back we will get started.

As I am laying there she gets a want out that has a condom on it and some lube. Um what is she doing and where is that going? Is Luke going to stay in here while she does this.

Me: Um what are you doing?

Luke: I think I am going to step outside.

Doctor Robinson: I'm sorry I should have explained. I will be doing a transvaginal ultrasound to see the baby and hear the heartbeat. Now Luke you just set down you don't want to miss this.

Luke sets back down and grabs my hand. He looks at me then leans in and wisphers in my ear "I am sorry about this. I had no idea." he said. All I could do was squeeze his hand and hope that he knew I understood. She lubes up the wand and tell me that it will feel cold and maybe some pressure. I squeezed Lukes hand because I did feel a little pressure.
