"Of course not, but it was a really terrible night. You need to see her screaming and calling for your help, They ended up freeing both of us, but at the cost of my sister submitting to their boss within the week, or their return will not be funny" Juan said, leaving Aaron looking at her in disbelief. "Submitting to them? For what?" Aaron asked, disbelief evident in his voice. "That's very bad. I hope she wasn't hurt by them at all," he, concerned about Alice. Juan shook her head. "No, neither of us was hurt. But since last night, she hasn't been herself, and I haven't been myself either. They gave us a heavy warning that she can't escape. They will always find her. We need help, Aaron," Juan said, tears streaming down her cheeks. "It's alright. Everything is going to be fine," he said and started wiping off her tears. "Where's Alice now?" Aaron asked. "She did come to school with me, but she has been sitting there like someone who has lost her memory," Juan replied. Aaron took a deep breath. "Hmmm," he let out as he gazed down silently for a few seconds, then looked at her once again. "But who exactly are those guys coming after her? What do they want with you all? What is your sister's offense?" Aaron asked, trying to understand what led to the situation. "It's all about Alice. You know she can be stubborn. I have no idea who those guys are, but according to them, they are from the Dark Crown g**g," Juan replied. "Dark Crown gang... I haven't heard that name before. Who are they, and what do they want with Alice?" Aaron inquired. "I don't really know who they are. I heard that the g**g originated from this school. Alice had a deal with them, a deal that she can't afford," she said, shrugging her shoulders. "What kind of deal is that?" Aaron pressed. "I don't know the details of the deal she made with them, and she refused to speak up about it. I don't know if they threatened her not to tell anyone," she replied. "Hmmm," Aaron muttered briefly, pondering what might have gone wrong. "She hasn't told you why they are after her?" Aaron asked, seeking clarification, and Juan nodded in response. "Something feels off. Why was she more concerned about me than those after her life?" Aaron asked, furrowing his brow. "I'm confused too, but I'm really worried about her. She's all I have now. I'm scared that something might happen to her one day," Juan expressed her concerns. "I would say less about that until she speaks up. Maybe something can be done about it, maybe I can help either" Aaron suggested before attempting to walk away. "What's wrong? Where are you going?" Juan interrupted, blocking his way. He tried to evade her, but she blocked him again. "Aaron, please stop! It's not funny. Don't do that again," Juan pleaded, as Aaron looked at her silently. She took a deep breath and blinked her eyes gently. "You're still upset about last night, I know. I couldn't have allowed you to go homeless. I should have stopped you. I'm so sorry once again," she said, even attempting to go down on her knees. "No, please don't," Aaron said, quickly holding her hand to prevent her from kneeling. He helped her get back to her feet. "Truly, you surprise me, Juan. You are one of a kind," Aaron said to her, as hope lit up her face. "Why do you keep begging, even when you know you're not at fault?" he asked, as Juan swallowed hard. "Because I can't afford to lose you. I value you as much as I value my sister," she said, placing her right hand on his cheek. "I really love you... and I'm ready to be there for you, no matter the situation. We will see through it together. I'm ready to do anything to protect you," Juan declared, her words piercing Aaron's heart. He was left speechless, feeling even more guilty for not always trying his best to make her happy, she deserves even more than that. Upon hearing her statement, Aaron easily believed that since she loved him this much, he must do whatever she needs as far as he is capable of it. So, he took her hands, looking into her eyes. "Juan, I'm very sorry. I didn't mean to give you sleepless nights. I'm sorry for everything, for the words I said to you yesterday. I'm so sorry. I didn't really mean it," Aaron said, guilt written all over his face, as a warm smile appeared on Juan's face and tears rolled down her cheeks. She was never expecting such a statement from Aaron, and she became so happy as Aaron wiped away her tears with his thumbs. "I'm very sorry, please. I promise that it won't happen again. Will you forgive me?" Aaron begged once again. "Of course, Aaron. I have already forgiven you, even before you apologized, because I don't have any grudge against you," Juan said, quickly grabbing his head and kissing him deeply. "What you did yesterday was what anyone in your shoes would do," Juan added. "I know you were really angered, but it's okay. I'm always here for you," Juan said as she smooched Aaron's cheeks softly. "Thank you for always being there for me. I can't really explain how grateful I am," Aaron said. "It's okay. About your other identity, don't bother about it. It's going to be safe, I promise you that," she assured him, as hope rose within both of them again. "I have spoken to Alice about it. She did promise to keep it private later on," Juan said as she tried to kiss Aaron again. Then he spotted Alice heading towards them and that interrupted their moment. "She's here," Aaron said, as Juan looked back as well. "Maybe she wants to offer some words of apology. Let's wait and see," she responded to him.
