Cassie
Three weeks…
For three whole weeks, I waited for Andrew Morgan to show up for tutoring.
He never did.
Every afternoon, I waited in the library with neatly organized notes and textbooks spread across the table, only to leave disappointed as the clock ticked past the agreed time.
It wasn’t as though I wanted to tutor him, but the assignment had been forced on me, and if I was expected to do it, the least he could do was show up.
Instead…
He simply ignored it.
Unfortunately, Principal Hawthorne didn’t see it that way.
“Cassandra,” Mrs. Hawthorne said for the third time that week, removing her glasses with a weary sigh, “How is Mr. Morgan progressing?”
I hesitated.
“He… hasn’t attended a single tutoring session, ma’am.”
Principal Hawthorne frowned. “He never came?”
“No, ma’am.”
The older woman’s expression darkened.
“Then it is your responsibility to ensure that he does.”
I blinked in disbelief.
Is she kidding me?
He’s a grown man for crying out loud!
“My responsibility?” I repeated like it was the most silly thing I ever heard.
She nodded like it was natural. “Yes.”
“But, ma’am…” I struggled to keep my voice respectful. “I can’t tutor someone who refuses to meet me.”
Principal Hawthorne folded her hands on the desk.
“I don’t care how you do it. Your assignment is to help Andrew Morgan improve his grades and you will do it!”
I was startled by her loud voice
“But…”
“There is too much at stake, Miss Blake.” She cut in. Her voice softened, but her words carried unmistakable weight. “I expect results.”
Dismissed without another word, I walked out of the office feeling more frustrated than ever.
How was this my fault?
How could I force that arrogant brute to study?
I didn’t give birth to him.
Besides, they seemed to be forgetting that I didn’t ask for this assignment.
I didn’t even volunteer for it. I was given no choice in this and now I’m to be held responsible if he failed.
Isn’t that unfair?
As I made my way across campus, I let out a long sigh.
So this was the price of a scholarship.
I had thought life had finally smiled on me and my mother.
Instead, it felt as though I had stepped into a carefully laid trap.
A trap I couldn’t escape.
Still…I knew that giving up wasn’t an option.
If this was the storm I had to weather, then I would weather it.
Straightening my shoulders, I began asking around school. “Have you seen Andrew Morgan?”
Most students simply pointed toward the elite residence halls.
“He’s probably in his hostel.” One guy said.
I checked the time. Lectures were still in session.
“Seriously?” I muttered under my breath.
“The person who’s supposed to improve his grades is skipping class, really?”
After several wrong turns and plenty of directions from curious students, I finally reached the residence reserved for Andrew.
My jaw nearly dropped as I arrived there. Calling it a hostel felt almost insulting.
It looked more like a luxury penthouse than student accommodation.
Floor-to-ceiling glass reflected the afternoon sunlight, while polished stone walls and perfectly manicured landscaping surrounded the building. A private driveway curved toward the entrance, where expensive vehicles were parked with military precision.
Two men in black suits stood outside the front doors. They looked like they were security guards.
“Who needs bodyguards at school?” I wondered aloud.
I shook my head. No wonder he’s so spoiled.
Taking a deep breath, I approached them.
“Good afternoon. I’m Cassandra Blake.”
The guards acknowledged me politely.
“I was sent by Principal Hawthorne. I need to speak with Andrew Morgan.”
One guard hesitated.
“Mr. Morgan currently has a guest and wouldn’t be…”
The other interrupted with a subtle glance before opening the door.
“You may go in.”
I thanked them and stepped inside. However, my eyes widened at the sight.
The interior was breathtaking.
The inside of the suite didn’t just look like a student hostel; it looked like a page ripped straight out of an architectural digest for the ultra-wealthy.
Sunlight poured through floor-to-ceiling glass walls, refracting off a flawless, white marble floor that was so polished that I could see my own stunned reflection in it.
Modern artwork decorated the walls, while elegant furniture in shades of white, charcoal, and gold filled the spacious living area.
Everything looked carefully chosen, from the crystal light fixtures overhead to the fresh flowers arranged on a sleek dining table.
A massive, custom-built crystal chandelier hung from the double-height ceiling, casting dancing fragments of light across the minimalist yet opulently furnished space.
Plush, cream-colored velvet panels lined the walls, interspersed with brushed gold accents, and a sleek, modern fireplace sat built into the far wall beneath a massive smart screen.
It was more luxurious than any home I had ever seen.
I couldn’t imagine what Andrew’s actual family estate looked like if this was only his student residence.
Life really wasn’t fair.
How could it give someone everything others lacked?
The guy had good looks, a strong background, he was the heir to the strongest Pack in the world, and he had wealth to back it all up.
I shook my head. It certainly explained why he was all high and mighty.
Some people struggled just to afford school supplies.
Others lived like royalty before they were even born.
No wonder Andrew carried himself like he owned the world.
A loud moan and groan echoed from deeper inside the apartment as I walked in, calling me back to the actual reason why I was there.
I wondered what was going on, even though I could almost tell.
I rounded the corner toward the living room and froze, my eyes almost bulging out of their sockets as I saw Andrew, with a girl who was bent on all fours on one of the pristine white couches.
Andrew was right behind her.
The girl was completely n***d, while Andrew only had his trousers pushed down to his knees, banging her right there in his living room.
The girl let out loud, uninhibited moans with every heavy thrust and he groaned in pleasure as he slammed into her.
I grimaced at the sight before me.
Andrew really was something else.
He was having s*x while lectures were ongoing.
This is ridiculous!
I tried to turn around and leave, but my legs seemed to have grown a mind of their own as they remained glued to the ground.
They just wouldn't move.
Even my eyes wouldn't look away, no matter how hard I tried to force them to the floor.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, Andrew’s honeyed eyes snapped directly to mine. A slow, wicked smirk spread across his face, entirely unbothered by the sudden intrusion.
Without breaking his rhythm, his voice came out a deep, gravelly purr that vibrated through the room as he said,
“Don’t just stand there and gawk, say the word if you’d like to join in…and gladly let you have a turn.”
