Chapter 1; Memories

City X, Korea 12 years ago…..1am.

Xavier.

Thunderstorm, the night was filled with the terrifying noises of thunder and heavy rainfall, yet it was so silent in the ears of Xavier. His red eyeballs fallen from the hours spent crying. He curled himself up in a ball on the floor closest to the window.

His throat felt dry, his eyes hurting, his thoughts drifting miles away in helplessness.

“Big brother Xavier come on, let's get the chocolate please, pretty pretty please” he could still hear the faint yet adorable sound of her voice.

‘Heaven’ his little sister….his most favorite person in the entire universe…she always appeared in his dreams and blurry visions. More tears fell without his control.

“Heaven…I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry…”he cried more, his shoulders shaking violently in agony. She's dead, she died, if it wasn't for him, she'd still be alive. Very alive.

“Big brother Xavier come on…pleasseeee…” her voice came again, soft, adorable and she'd always have that pout on her lips anytime she begs.

“Heaven….” His voice came out almost in a whisper as he turned seeing her silhouette near the wardrobe. Her five year old tiny frame selecting through the clothes…

Hearing his voice, she turned towards him, a smile on her face.

“Big brother Xavier….” She replied still smiling. His breath hitched as he stood up, strolling closer.

“Heaven…..” his legs trembled, arms open as she did the same gesture running towards him….but he couldn't reach her before she disappeared into thin air. It happened again, she wasn't real, she was never there.

“Big brother Xavier..”her voice came in echo and a sharp contrast flashed across his eyes. His hands fled towards his ears trying hard to keep away the sounds. She called him more.

“Please….stop, stop stop”he begged as he fell, rolling endlessly and helplessly on the floor in fright, the voice never ceased.

“Heaven!!!!!!!!” He yelled as the door to his room opened and two adults walked in.

“But sir!! He's just a child! I'm sorry I can't” Doctor Steve protested as he stood up from the luxurious couch in anger, strolling towards the mansion's exit. A dark chuckle halted him in his tracks.

“Now doctor, we both know your pregnant sweetheart is allergic to guns. Just so you know, my men have your house surrounded. You know what I'm capable of, we both know in a world of survival, brutality is what I live for and no one is considered a child” Badmus Richards stated with a dark gaze puffing smoke into the air like it was nothing.

Doctor Steve turned to him with a fast beating heart, his hands trembling. Why on earth did he plan on defying a brutal Mafia Don without realizing the consequences.

“I…I'll do..I'll do it please don't hurt my wife. What do you want?” Doctor Steve asked half kneeling with fear in his eyes.

“That's the spirit doctor. The boy is traumatized by the death of his baby sister and parents. Make sure he stays that way. You know what to do” Badmus smiled as the doctor nodded without a choice.

“Don't play games with me Steve. If it doesn't go as planned, I won't only execute your whole family, but you as well. Do your job and do it right”, he added making the doctor gulp down nothing.

“Y..yes sir”, he replied quickly. The agonizing scream of ten year old Xavier echoed across the mansion.

“Heaven!!!!!!”

“It's started again…” Badmus sighed, as he puffed smoke in and out. They both hurried towards his locked room, seeing him on the ground. They rushed towards him as he kept yelling.

XAVIER

His eyes fell on the syringe in the doctor's hands. Panic kicked in. He hated injections, with everything he got he attempted running away but Badmus caught him.

“Shut up and stay still Ash!!” Badmus stated coldly pointing a gun to his forehead. The doctor gulped hard in shock…. Xavier was being threatened to stay still by a gun.

The sharp needle pierced through his fragile skin making him cry out in agony.

“It's alright…it's alright..”

Xavier’s eyes dropped calmly…the world around him spun, blurred before growing dark. He slumped gradually with a dark feeling in his chest…the suffering had only begun.

Present Halo city, Mexico 1pm

A dark silhouette faced the window, arms across his back, dark wavy hair fell across his shoulders in dark waves. His broad back and shoulders could make anyone intimidated without a second thought. A sharp cry slicing through the air in agony.

“Please…please spare me master. I'm deeply sorry…”

Anger flashed across the huge man's eyes. He turned sharply towards the wounded man on the ground, chained to the walls with dangerous bruises all over him. Blood steeping from his wounds fresh.

“Really Louis?!!! After everything I did for you?!!!! You choose to betray me?!! Well, I choose to betray you as well.”

Xavier, all grown up, a tinge of raw and silent madness in his angry days, the trauma of his childhood never leaving him.

“I….I…no no please please…” Louis cried more, two men stood behind him with dark anger on their faces.

“Shut up you motherfucker!!!!” Xavier yelled holding his chest as he sprinted towards Louis, crushing his head over and over again against the tiled walls…blood flowed endlessly, splattering against the walls and everyone available.

Louis screamed till his last breath. Xavier watched him, his bloodstained hands trembling in dissatisfaction. He stretched out his hand and one of his men placed a gun on it.

He pulled the trigger endlessly till the gun ran out of bullet, disfiguring Louis's body completely till he felt satisfied.

He tossed back the gun to the man strolling away with the words,

“Tidy” while his assistant Shan trailed along feeling satisfied as well.

He's been with him long enough to know Xavier never took betrayal lightly with anyone.

“Master…have you changed your mind about the proposal from White codes enterprises?” Shan asked hurrying to keep up with Xavier’s pace.

“No” he replied curtly making Shan frown.

“Master I think…” Shan trailed off

“Change your clothes, you smell like blood,” Xavier stated feeling irritated making Shan gasp. Crap! Master would never say yes after he's said no. How would he make him change his mind now?? His crush is the daughter of the CEO. His eyes fell as he watched Xavier walk away casually like he didn't just end a life brutally back there.

“You have to change your mind master…you gotta” he mumbled softly. His heart skipped as Xavier halted in his tracks turning towards him. Oops! Did master hear him? Did he talk about his crush out loud?? Toodles!! He picked up his feet in hurried strides away.

Xavier only turned towards the halls because her voice came back.

“Heaven”.
