NATHANIEL CARTER
I did usual morning routine and went to work. Ken and I started to work in the restaurant as customers began to troop in
We worked tirelessly until it was 4:30pm. There were no customers in the restaurant anymore so we were both sitting down, chatting as we sipped our coffee.
Suddenly, the door opened and we turned to look at the customers who just came inside. Our eyes widened as Sophie Wilson came inside and came straight to me.
"Hi, Nathaniel", she greeted with a sly smirk and at that moment, I remembered Cassie's warning. I twitched my lips, unsure of what to do. Not answering her greetings would be so disrespectful, but answering her would mean going against my sister's warning.
I looked over to Ken and he was looking dumbfounded as I was. I mean who wouldn't, the one and only Devil came into Jack's restaurant and directly to me. ' what does she want?', I thought to myself.
I looked back at her and she was still staring at me dumbly. Not knowing what to do, I bowed my head slightly and brought out my notepad.
"Please, come with me", I ordered and walked to a table. I looked back and saw that she was still standing where I left her, still staring at me with that smirk on her face.
I looked at Ken who was still looking at me with an amused face and I shrugged, confused at what to do next.
"Ain't you coming?", I asked impatiently. She walked towards me and stopped in front of me.
"This is your table, order what you want and we'll get it for you", I said and left them there.

SOPHIE WILSON
I watched as Nathaniel walked away from us with nervousness. I snorted and sat down. I was going to love pushing his buttons, that I knew.
Looking at Sarah, who watched everything silently and suspiciously, waiting for what was going to happen next.
"Sit down", I ordered and she took a sit in front of me. I took the menu and looked through it, Sara still staring at me.
"What really is your plan?".
"To make him mine", I replied nonchalantly without taking my eyes from the menu. "I would like to order", I shouted and his colleague came running with a notepad and a pen. I looked around but couldn't find him.
"Where's Nathaniel?", I asked, looking at him.
"He is inside the restaurant, he's busy with some things so told me to attend to you", he replied.
"Unfortunately, it's him I want to attend to us. Can't he leave whatever the f**k he's doing and come attend to his customers?", I queried and he bowed his head slightly before leaving.
Minutes later, Nathaniel came over our table and bowed his head, muttering an apology. I didn't get why he was always doing that.
"Do you always bow to every customer like this or is it just I?".
"Anyone who I feel I should bow to", he replied politely.
"Don't bow to me again", I ordered and he simply nodded his head.
"What would you like to order?", he asked, taking out his notepad.
" ........... and don't speak formally also", I ordered again and he dropped his notepad.
"We are not close for me to speak informally and you're a customer, it's at the risk of my job if I disrespect you".
"Then, let's be friends", I declared.
"I'm sorry, we can't", he fired back and I snorted showing my displeasure.
"I wasn't asking".
"If you want us to be friends, you have to ask........... politely", he responded and I laughed coldly.
"This is the first time someone dared to turn down my order", I muttered audibly.

"This is the first time someone dared to turn down my order"
Oh s**t!
I was scared, really scared when I heard her say that statement. It echoed in my head different times as I got good bumps all over my body.
I wanted to apologise but I knew doing that would mean submitting to her which I didn't want to. No matter who she was, I wasn't going to submit to her.
"I'll let what just happened slide since we're just getting to know each other but next time, I won't accept disrespect", she said and I felt like answering her.
"I did not disrespect you not turn down your order. I simply said if you want us to be friends, you should ask politely". I thought what I said was okay but, oh boy, I was wrong.
She stood up from her seat and walked to me, never taking her eyes away from mine and put her chin on my shoulder, her lips brushing my ears slightly which gave me a shuddering feeling.
"What if I don't know how to? Will you teach me?", she whispered and I felt chills all over my body but I stayed calm.
"You can't learn something like that now, it's something you should have been taught from home since childhood", I replied without stuttering.
I was surprised at my words not breaking since my hand were shaking like f**k. She bursted into laughter but if the laughter was a hearty one, it would have been a music to my ears.
"Unfortunately, I didn't learn it, so what do I do?", she asked and I twitched my lips.
"What are your orders?", I bought up my notepad and pen as she went back to sit down.
"Why? You do t want to be friends with me, you can't also maintain a conversation with me?"
"Unfortunately, I don't go beyond anything that's work like so, what are your orders?".
"Then, order for me".
"Excuse me?"
"I don't repeat my words twice. Sarah, what do you want?", she turned to the lady who was with her.
"A bottle of lemonade will do", she replied and I marvelled as to how both of them could be friends since she was so polite.
"I'll be right back, please excuse me", I said and went away.
Shortly, I came back with a plate of sandwich and two bottles of lemonade and placed it on their table.
"Bon appetit".
Soon after eating, she paid for their meal and they left. Immediately they left, I breathed out of relief.
