Having completed her work shift Alina joined the party. First thing she did was go to the bar and get a drink. A very large strawberry, frozen margarita. She asked for double the tequila. She carried her drink to the edge of the dance floor, took a seat and drank slowly. Hoping to find a very handsome, single man among the crowd, she kept her eyes open as she drank. When she crossed her legs, the slit of her dress fell open, exposing her leg all the way up to her upper thigh. Her drink finished she returned it to the bar and headed toward the dance floor once again. She'd noticed a dark, tall man with broad shoulders and eyes look large, brown pools standing by himself. Alina approached him and touched his arm, he looked down at her. She gasped when she took in his face. Olive toned skin, full lips, deep brown eyes, and that body... so broad, hard and strong. She bit her lip before proceeding. "Care to dance?" she asked.
The man smiled, and Alina all but swooned, this man was gorgeous. "It would be a privilege to dance with you," he said and offered her his hand.
She took it and let him lead her onto the dance floor. They danced very closely, her body pressed into his. His hands roamed everything they could touch. When the song ended they remained in each other's arms. "Go again?" he asked with a smile.
"Oh yes, please."
This dance was a slow dance, something Alina was very good at. She was thrilled to learn that her skills were equally matched. "Excuse me, but I don't think I caught your name," she said.
"You didn't, because you never asked," he laughed. His laugh was so free and beautiful. A deep sound form somewhere within his strong chest. "My name is Alexander, and may I know yours?"
"Alina," she answered.
"Alina..." he repeated. "Beautiful, just like the name holder."
She blushed and looked down.
The song ended all too soon, but Alexander didn't let go of her hand. "Lets get a drink," he said, walking toward the bar.
She had no complaints, so she followed him, still holding his hand. They stood, drinks in hand, talking and laughing together when Alina saw Brandon out of the corner of her eye. He was standing near the dance floor with Elsie hanging off his arm. She was desperately trying to get him to pay attention to her, but he was staring at Alina angrily. Alina gave him a little finger wave and then turned back to Alexander. Elsie let out a strangled little yell and whined out Brandon's name. She stomped her foot angrily. He barely acknowledged her existence.
"Who is that guy? If looks could kill..." Alexander asked.
"My mate," she said simply.
Alexander stepped back. "Your mate? You have a mate?" he exclaimed.
"I rejected him," Alina said. "How do you not know who he is?"
"I'm not from your pack, I'm visiting my sister. She moved here when she found her mate from this pack."
"Ah, that makes sense," Alina answered. "He's the Alpha's son. He didn't want me so he was going to reject me. I rejected him first, because I wasn't going to be unwanted and humiliated all at once," she shrugged.
Alexander stepped closer again, "that's... that takes some balls."
Alina shrugged, "maybe..."
"Did the rejection hurt?"
"Oh yes, thankfully we hadn't... done anything, or else I don't know if I'd have survived," she said.
"I haven't found my mate," he said quietly. "I had hoped she'd be here, but it seems she's not."
"Maybe you should be mingling instead of hanging out with me," she suggested.
"Oh hell no, and miss dancing with the hottest girl I've seen yet? Absolutely not. If she was here I'd know it anyway." With that he took her hand and pulled her back to the dance floor. They resumed their dirty dancing, even going so far as to make out. Alina ground her body against his, letting her fingers rake through his hair. She swayed her hips seductively. She knew Brandon would be watching, but she didn't look his direction. She wouldn't give him the satisfaction of giving her more death glares. Tonight Alina had no cares in the world. Alexander would leave soon enough and she'd go back to being a good little Omega. Tonight though? Tonight she would let loose.
