Julians POV
‘Sir.’ Julian didn’t even hear Declan. His ears felt like they were ringing. She was gone, taken. It happened right in front of him. He barely heard his phone ringing.
‘Sir.’ Someone shook him this time. He grunted in response and grabbed his phone.
‘Yes.’
‘Is that any way to greet your mother?’
‘I don’t have time for this.’
‘I know son. Pearl just appeared in front of me. She said Velvet has been taken.’
‘What does she know?’
‘Well, she has gone quite a pale grey colour. It's concerning. But she knows nothing. All she says is she didn’t see it, then she shook her head.’
‘Can she see anything?’
‘He has a witch working with him.’
