It takes about fifteen minutes to get to the college from my house, depending on traffic. Most of my drive was on I-80, so I sailed along until I had to turn off and slow down through Cedar Ridge. Although the main road didn't go through the town, the speed was 40 mph, and I thought of Police Chief Okert who patrolled the town's roads all by himself. I passed a gas station and spotted Okert's black and white parked behind the building on a gravel drive, just waiting to go after the first car to go over the speed limit. Wasn't gonna be me!
