Chapter 1: The Most Naughty Boy In a small and peaceful town, there lived a boy who was anything but peaceful. His name was Shin-chan, and he was famous for one thing—creating trouble everywhere he went. “Shin-chan! Wake up!” his mother shouted from the kitchen. “I am awake…” he replied, still lying on the bed with his eyes closed. His mother walked into the room and saw him sleeping. “You call this awake?” Suddenly, Shin-chan jumped up and said, “Surprise! I was just testing you!” His mother sighed. “One day, you will test my patience too much.” At school, Shin-chan met his friends. There was Kazama, the smart one, who always followed rules. There was Nene, who got angry quickly, and Bo-chan, who spoke very slowly. “Today I didn’t do homework,” Shin-chan said proudly. Kazama looked shocked. “Why are you proud of that?!” “Because I didn’t even try!” Shin-chan replied with a smile. Soon, their teacher entered the classroom. “Everyone, take out your homework.” Shin-chan slowly opened his bag… and pulled out a toy instead. The whole class burst into laughter.
