CHAPTER FORTY FIVE
“Morning mum,” I hurriedly called as I rushed about in the kitchen, quickly grabbing two apples, pushing them into my backpack. Mum was sitting, seemingly staring into her cup of steaming coffee as though she was in deep thoughts.
“Aren’t you going to take your breakfast? I made pancakes,” she questioned, looking up.
“Not today mum. I‘m running late and Peggy and Leon are already waiting for me,” I walked over, placing a kiss on her forehead before running towards the door.

“Yes?” I half turned to look at her.
“I love you so much. Never ever forget that,” She said with what I instantly assumed was a sad smile.
