Night Out

As I close up shop I see Baileys car pull up. I smile as I see her get out of her car and walk towards the door. 

“Hey babe! Almost done closing up shop?” She says with a huge smile. 

“I actually just finished up! I just need to grab my purse!” I say with excitement.

As we walk out the door I close it and lock it behind us. And walk towards my car. 

“I will see you at your place.” I shout at her as she gets into her car.

On the drive over I think about the man, my mate, and wonder what he is who he is. I couldn’t wait to see him tonight and find out, hopefully.

“Okay so I was thinking you should wear my cute but sexy red dress.” Says Bailey as we walk into her apartment. 

“Okay. And what are you going to wear?” I say as we walk into her bedroom and she opens her closet. 

“I’m going in this.” She pulls out a gorgeous pink strapless dress that matches her personality. 

We talk about our day as we get dressed and put some light makeup on. When we finished we looked at each other smiled and nodded giving each other a silent nod of approval that we were ready to go.

“Let’s take my car and if you need to you can crash at my place tonight.” Bailey tells me as I nod yes to her. 

We blast some 90’s music on our way to the bar. Singing out loud with the windows down. Passing people as they glanced at us but we didn’t care. 

We made it to the bar and parked right out front. We got out and linked our arms together laughing as we walked in. We see our favorite bartender, Adonis, as he waves at us to come over.

“Hey beautiful ladies! Long time no see. What can I get for you?” He asks as he smiles wide at Bailey. I have known Adonis for about 300 years. He is a vampire just like me and well Bailey is his mate. He hasn’t had the nerve to tell her yet what he is nor had he asked her out yet. He says he’s waiting to find the right moment to ask her. I’m also pretty sure tonight might be that night by the way he is looking at her. 

“I’d like a strawberry margarita” Bailey orders. 

“And I’d like the secret brew.” Adonis nods and walks towards the back and comes back with the secret brew. Which if you didn’t figure out now it’s blood given to the bar from donors. 

“Thank you.” I tell him as he turns around and starts to blend Baileys margarita. 

As he brings it to her I noticed he purposely left his hand on the stem and watched her reaction as her hand touched his. ‘It has finally hit her.’ I think to myself. 

“Wha...what was that?” She says to Adonis very confused.

“You know what I think I will head over to the jukebox and pick a song. I think you two need to talk” I walk away smiling knowing that it won’t be just her and I heading back to her place later. 

As I’m standing there wondering if I should pick “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey or one of the many Backstreet Boys songs. When I figured I’d play “As Long as You Love Me” by Backstreet Boys. Right when it started to play the scent hit me. My mate is here.

As I was about to turn around I felt an arm go around my waist. The electricity was amazing. I never wanted him to let go. I started to sway my hips to the music as his other arm wrapped around me. I felt his warm breath on my ear as he whispered “Hello again gorgeous.”

I melted in his arms. He spun me around so I could look at him. I giggled when I felt a slight bulge rubbing me below my stomach. He looked a little embarrassed but his eyes were filled with lust. 

“So do I get to know your name, handsome stranger?” I say as I stare into his eyes continuing to sway turning him on even more.

“My apologies. My name is Fafnir Balerion. My parents were obsessed with Norse mythology.” She says chuckling a little. 

“I was going to say you don’t look like a dwarf.” I respond giggling.

We continued to dance in silence as our bodies swayed I couldn’t help but noticed how perfect we fit together. 

“Well should we go back to the bar? I’ll introduce you to my friend and quite possibly her new lover.” I say as I wink at him.

He nods and we walk back hand in hand. I can’t seem to not be touching him this electricity is intense and I don’t want it to end.

“Hey babe! So I need to introduce you to someone I met today while at work.” I tell her as she turns around to face us her eyes light up as she sees me holding hands with Fafnir.

“OH MY GOD! Tiffany is this your boyfriend? Have you been hiding him from me?” She says getting up and hugging him. 

He jumps a little as he is suddenly hugged and places one hand at the small of Baileys back as he looks over at me unsure of what to do. I nod at him mouthing “it’s okay this is how she greets people.” 

As Bailey backs away she turns to me “I never thought in my lifetime would I ever see you with a boyfriend!” 

“Well, we aren’t technically boyfriend and girlfriend yet but I will say there is a strong connection!” I smile at her.

With one hand she blocks the view of her mouth so he can’t see and mouths to me “mate?”

“EEEPPPPP!  NO WAY! OH EM GEE GIRL, YOU GUYS WILL MAKE GORGEOUS BABIES!” She screams with excitement. 

In case you were wondering how Bailey knew I was a vampire is because I have told her. She had always stuck by me since. She appreciated me being honest with her and that helped her trust me. She always defended me when people would call me a “blood sucking killer”. 

“Well we are not quite there yet. I just met him today.” I say smiling up at him. “But I’d like to know now what is going on with you and our friend Adonis.”

Bailey turns to look at him at the other end of the bar helping someone with a drink. He turns to look at her and they both smile at each other. 

“Well he ummm... he asked me out. And.... I said YES!” She said with her eyes sparkling and smile shining. 

“I knew it would happen. I have watched you two eyeing each other for years now! Finally he asked.” I smile and hug her. I’m so happy my two best friends have finally taken the leap to dating.

“So, what do you like to drink Tiffany?” Fafnir smiles as he asks me.

“Well, she likes red drinks!” Bailey chimes in answering for me.

“Yes I do like red drinks. I’ll take a Shirley Temple.” I say as I stare up into his ever gorgeous emerald eyes. 

“Adonis buddy! Hey man, can I get this gorgeous woman a Shirley Temple and I’ll take your best beer on tap.” He says as I look at Adonis.

I mouth to Adonis “You know him?” Adonis nods at me and mouths back “For a few months.” 

We finish our drinks and wait for Adonis to clock out. As we all walk outside Bailey and Adonis are leaning on Baileys car having a make out session that could top any make out session ever done. I turn to Fafnir and get this urge to do the same but I need to hold myself back.

“So, I guess we will see each other tomorrow?” I say still holding his hand.

I feel myself being pulled in and my hands landed on a firm chest. I look up into his eyes and see him smile. I feel his hand tangle in my hair as he pulls me closer. I want to stop because I am so inexperienced at this but I can’t. I want this. I want him. 

The moment our lips touched it ignited a fire inside me. I was burning for him. His scent his taste his everything. I brought my arm around his neck to be closer to him. We stayed like this for a while.

Out of breath he pulled away just enough to say “Do you by any chance not want to wait for tomorrow and come over tonight?”

All I could do was nod yes. 

I let Bailey know through text, since she was still busy sucking face with Adonis. With that we left and headed for his place.
