19. Adam

When Courtney agrees to help Ditch Bria's loser boyfriend. I get excited, But I have to wait to see if Courtney pulls it off. I’m deep in thought about Bria.

When, I see Courtneys mustang pull into the Walmart parking lot. I shout, “Hell yes”! When I see Bria step out of Courtneys car. Finally, I get some time with Bria. I get out of the car telling Bria, “She is riding with me.” Bria goes to say something, but is cut off by Candy, saying “she would love to.” playfully pushing her towards me. I laugh.

I lead her to my car. I open the door for her, as she is getting in the car, I couldn’t help but look at Bria's nice ass. I got caught of course, but I don't really care because, she has a nice ass a man can get lost looking at. When we are on the road Bria asks where we are going? I tell her “We are stopping by Justins house, and then we are going to Shadows.” I didn't mention that we are going to Shadows early because, we want to get her out of town. In case for some reason Liam, pops up trying to start anything.

Once we are done at Justin's house. We Head out of town. We see everyone go in, but before Candy, goes in she yells “take care of our girl Adam.” I laugh, classic candy always got something to say.

Bria and I are currently Standing in the driveway, by the Cars. I’m holding Bria in my arms, wiping tears off her beautiful face. I finally ask her to tell me what is going on in her beautiful head. Finally, Bria opens up and tells me about how “she just lost a baby.” She tells me “Why she lives with Liam.” This beautiful girl has been thrown a lot of s**t in her life, but I don't judge I listen.

I listen to her tell me about Liam's temper, and just listening to it makes my blood boil. How the hell, can any, man No! Not a man! A boy treat a girl like that? Never in my life would I treat Bria like that, this Liam bastard has no idea what he has. I grab her and hold her; she fits in my arms perfectly like she was made just for me. After a minute, I ask her if she wants to go in, and go to a quiet room in the house to talk some more. She says “yes”, so I lead her into the house, to shadows room.

Once we are in the room, I pull her down on the bed, I just hold her, and let her talk. The more she talks, the more I want to keep her in my arms forever. I ask her to take off her hoodie, so I can see the bruises. She waits a minute hesitating. Then finally pulls the hoodie off. My blood goes cold at what I'm seeing. She has perfect bruises around both of her arms. All up, and down her arms. Also, around her wrists.

There are fresh bruises over, more bruises that are trying to heal. You can see the one surrounding her Neck clear as day. I pull her to lay back down, and I just hold her. I know I said I would never be in a relationship again, but with Bria it feels like my world is right. I will do everything I can, in my power to love her and protect her. I lightly rub my fingers over her bruises wishing I could just kiss them away.

I whisper in her ear that she is beautiful, and she blushes. She starts to get goosebumps. I really want to kiss her, but before I do something stupid, and scare her I roll over on my back to give me a minute. (I've never felt this way about a girl not even my ex), This is different. Bria is different.

I'm about to talk when, her Phone starts buzzing like crazy. It just keeps buzzing. I see Bria’s face go pale, and I know who it is without her having to say his name. Bria, ignores it, and then starts to breathe heavy. I wrap her in my arms tighter. Her, breathing finally calms down. when, beeps for text messages come in. I hold her why she looks down at the messages. I know I shouldn't have, but I read them too.

My blood boils, at what I just read. Then before I can say anything, Bria is out the door trying to get Courtney to take her home. I think, going home is the last place she should be with his temper like that. Bria has just realized Courtney is drinking and can't drive. So, I step in offering, to take her home. As much as I don't want to, I will never force Bria to do anything she doesn't want to.
