THE STORM

22. Bria

The next morning, I wake up in Adam's arms and I smile. I have the day off work so I’m in no rush today. I watch him sleep for a while, like a creep. I look at how sexy he is wondering, what a man like him sees in a mess like me.

As much as I don't want to, I have to wiggle out of his arms, and go potty. When I get to the bathroom and do my business, I look at myself in the mirror. I smile, I’m happy and I finally got some sleep. When I hear my phone, I go to the living room. I set down on the couch taken a deep breath, because I know I've missed a lot of texts, and calls. I pick it up seeing, I have a lot of missed calls, and texts from Liam. I also have a bunch of texts from Candy, Courtney, and Bridgett in the group text. With a smile, I open the group Text first,

Courtney- “Bria are you ok? I'm sorry, I was too drunk to take you home. I really hope you are ok.”

Candy- “I just woke up, what the hell did I miss? When I crashed, Adam and Bria were still talking in the room.”

Bridgett- “I didn't go to the party, so I have no Idea what is going on, but Bria, as soon as you see these let us know you are ok. If I haven't Hurd from you by twelve, I'm going to Liam's house and, kicking the door in.

I laugh, then look at the clock. It is 10 am, wow! I can't remember the last time I slept in this long.

Reading the messages again, I laugh and want to cry because they are worried about me. No one ever worries about me. I finally start typing back.

Bria- “Hey girls. I'm fine, I ended up spending the night with Adam. I was too scared to go home to see what storm Chris had waiting for me. Stop worrying though I am safe.”

Their replies come instantly.

Candy- “ooooo you spent the night with Adam? Girl, you can't leave it there and not tell us every detail.”

Courtney- “I'm happy to hear you are safe. And Adam took you home with him? I’m going to need more details as well.”

Bridgett- “Wait Adam took you home with him?”

Bria- “yes, He is still asleep.”

Candy- “did you wear him out with all the s*x?”

Courtney- “Adam has never taken a girl home with him before, so we are going to need details like now.”

Bridgett- “you all have to let her talk to answer all those questions.”

I laugh at their banter. I now know I'm the only girl he has ever brought to his apartment. That has me feeling even more emotions, than I know what to do with. So, with that thought in mind I text back giving them a teaser.

Bria- “we didn't have s*x. But I don't kiss and tell!”

Courtney- “you kissed!”

Bridgett- “how did it happen.”

Candy- “I told you all, they are going to be the hottest couple. DETAILS now, you can't tell us you kissed and, not tell us how it happened! Was it good?

Smiling I text them every detail of the kiss and how it happened. I tell them the kiss blew my mind. I tell them how Adam makes me feel safe and that I'm scared.

candy- “damn! That sounds hot.”

Courtney- “and he didn't want to have sex.”

Bria- “oh No he wanted to, but He said that as long as I'm with Liam, He didn’t think it was a good idea. Until I’m fully his.

Bridgett- “so when are you going to drop Liam?”

Candy- “I would just text him and tell his dumbass it's over!”

Bria- “I have a lot of missed calls, and texts from Liam now, but where am I going to live, I have nowhere to live if I leave Liam. that's the problem.”

Candy- “I wouldn’t reply to him right now let him suffer and wonder where you are.”

Courtney- “We are all going apartment hunting today. Do you want to go with us? If we find one, you could always just live with us. We all want to get away from living with our parents. I'm 18 so I can sign a lease. What do you say?”

candy- “she says yes.”

Bridgett- “yes come live with us Bria.”

I think about their offer for a minute. And for the first time, I have hope, But I'm scared. I don't want to put them in the middle of this fight. Well because, let's face it, Liam isn't going to let me go easy.

It's going to be a fight.

So, I text them back.

Bria- “can you all handle the fact that Chris may harass us because, he isn't going to let me just leave.”

Bridgett- “Let him come try to start s**t, I will kick his ass.”

Candy- “we got you Bria.”

Courtney- “It will be fine. One day at a time, Bria.”

Bria- “ok then, let's do it!”

Listening to Candy. I decide to not reply to Liam.

They tell me what time they will pick me up. I send them Adams address because, they have never been here.

I go back into the bedroom and crawl back into Adams arms, kissing him.
