23. Adam

I feel Bria wiggle out of my arms, getting out of bed. I keep my eyes closed. Listening to the sound of her in my apartment. I lay in bed hoping she will come back soon. I already miss holding her. As I lay here, I hear her laugh in the living room. (That laugh) I love hearing her laugh. She is gone for a while, and I start to wonder if she is coming back. I Know when she comes back because, she crawls back into my arms and, kisses me. I open my eyes looking into her pretty blue eyes. I can see the worry in them. Before I can ask. She tells me about, the apartment hunting with the girls today. I smile and, kiss her. She pulls back, telling me that “Liam has been calling and texting all night.” “That she isn’t going to reply to him.” She tells me “That when she tells him it's over, he is going to flip out, and try to Kill her.” I go stiff with what she just told me. I hold her tighter. She tells me “He is probably not going to let her have her clothes or any of her stuff.” She lets a few tears fall. I wipe them away with my thumb, leaning in I kiss her.

I pull back, telling her “Baby I got you.” I ask her if there’s “anything she really wants or needs out of that house.” She looks at me shaking her head No, then says she “would at least Like to have her clothes.” I look into her eyes and tell her “I will buy you new clothes.” She says No, she can't ask me to do that. I kiss her to stop her. I lean over whispering in her ear saying, “babe you didn't ask me.” “I want to spoil you.” “Let me spoil you baby.” I don't give her time to say anything back, I kiss her again. She kisses me back, and the kiss is getting hotter.

When her phone rings, I break the kiss.

I grab her phone off the nightstand for her. Her face goes pale looking at her phone. she ignores the call. She has a worried look back on her face. I want to take her worry away.

I ask her, “are you hungry?” She goes to say “No.” When her stomach growls. I laugh. I tell her “I'm taken you to breakfast before you go apartment hunting with the girls.” I smile at the thought that she has a plan to get away from Liam.
