Chapter One - Born and Family

My name is Esmeralda Knight but my parents called me Esme for short. I've lived with my parents who loved me dearly and they are my adopted parents. My parents kept me hidden from the world until we got invited to Alpha’s son's birthday party. It was time for me to socialize with new people outside of this home. Of course, my parents decided to attend the birthday party. All I ever wanted to do was meeting new faces and become friends, and that is something I will never get. Or will I?

Tragedy struck on our way to the party, I lost my parents at the age of five in a tragic accident. Not knowing what my life would turn out to be, I ran for my life being chased by some wild beast. I had no idea what kind of special girl I was until I have discovered I too was a beast but not wild as those who are chasing me. I was still young and had no idea how to control the beast in me. What am I?

Getting lost in the forest, I kept running away from wildly looking beast, known as Rogues. What are they? I had no clue. Will someone come to rescue me? Am I able to outrun the Rogues from catching up to me? Will I be able to find my way back home? What do those Rogues want with me?

All I ever wanted at this point was to find my way back home, in my very safe place where no one can harm me. Now, I will grow up scared, lost, depressed, fearing for my life trying to get away from the Rogues and I may never find my way back home. I’m going to have to accept my fate and hope for the best.

Ash McKenzie is a five-year-old special boy living a werewolf life with his adopted father known as Alpha Gary and the Silverstone Pack members. He was born with his wolf and was able to shift early at a young age and no one knew how special this boy was until he meets me, his mate.

Ever since Ash heard about the tragedy, he felt restless and felt he must do something about it but being so little there wasn’t much he can do. So Ash waited until he was finally at age.

With the help of his werewolf, Ash was able to be strong for the unexpected events by tagging along for a long ride to Alaska where they heard is where I was located at. If it wasn’t for his werewolf, Ash would have lost his humanity because it turns out I am his soul mate.

Alpha Rogue is twenty-three years old who is best friends with Rogue Dale McKnight. They have both been kicked out of their packs at a very young age and became Rogues. They were savages and beasts that destroy the lives of others that come their way. Since the day he destroyed my family, I fled before his eyes. Alpha Rogue was captured by my special abilities. But I got away. Alpha Rogue will do everything in his power to find me, known as ‘The Lost Girl’ and make me his.

Will Alpha Rogue make me his? Will Ash come to save the day? Will everyone find out that he was also created by the Moon Goddess to protect me? Will he be able to meet me on time? Will I have a second Mate? Anything can happen at this point and expect the unexpected. Not all stories turn out with a happy ending. Or will it. Let’s find out

This is my story...

Long-time ago, there was a tiny baby girl born and given to the Knight family. The Knights were the happiest couple, after trying several years, to have a child. They couldn't be any happier than what they are now. The Moon Goddess Selene visited the Knight family and blesses them with a special child, a baby girl who was named Esmeralda, with beautiful green eyes and golden brown hair. The Knight family fell in love with their daughter and forever cherishes her. They promised the Moon Goddess that they will forever protect her with their own lives.

As growing up, Esmeralda drives her parents crazy. She loved to hide and scare her parents in many ways. One time, she hid in her parents’ walk-in closet knowing it was huge, she figured it would be funny if she dressed as a ghost and come out of the closet while the parents slept. Of course, she did accomplish her idea and succeed by scaring both her parents. Esmeralda laughed so much and ran out of their room to hide in her bedroom. The parents were so scared, angry and they too laughed at the end after knowing what Esmeralda pulled on them.

The Knight family spoiled Esmeralda since she was their only child. They gave her everything she has ever wanted. She was their little cookie monster. Esmeralda loved to munch on chocolate chip cookies. They dressed her up in cute little dresses and ballet shoes. Esmeralda looked so adorable like a princess should.

Unfortunately, Esmeralda didn't have any friends of her age. She wished she had friends to play with and to talk to. The Knight family kept Esmeralda at home most of the time away from the packhouse. They kept it to themselves for five years. And for five years their pack had no idea about Esmeralda.

"Boo," said Esmeralda!

"Esme, you've scared me. When are you going to stop young lady," said Mary? Esmeralda scares her mother while she was passing by the laundry room where she hid while waiting to scare either her mother or father. Mary's blood pressure went up due to Esmeralda scaring her but was easily controlled after knowing it was only Esmeralda pulling a stunt on her. Esmeralda takes off, while Mary tries to get her with no success. She makes her way to the kitchen, finding dad at the site.

"What's going on," asked Jake? 

"Daddy, hide me, hide me. Mommy is after me," said Esmeralda. Jake was staring as Esmeralda once she entered the kitchen with a puzzled look on his face. But later he knew what she was up to. Esmeralda was eagerly wanting for dad to hide her away from mother. They both stared at each other for a moment then he agreed to help her with a smirk on his face.

As they both hear Mary from the other room..."Esme, where are you," asked Mary while looking for Esmeralda? 

"Quick, hide over here," said Jake while pointing to the direction of the kitchen cabinet underneath the sink. 

"Oh, Thank you, daddy," said Esmeralda while she giggled her way to the cabinet, underneath the kitchen sink.

Jake replies, "You’re welcome," to Esmeralda while watching her hide where he told her to hide into. She hides and starts giggling away, hoping to not get caught. Soon Mary enters the kitchen and asks her husband about Esmeralda's whereabouts.

"Hunny, have you seen Esme," asked Mary?

With a huge smirk on Jake's face, he responded, "I don't know sweetheart. Maybe she went outside?" Mary just looked at him, giving him the ‘Don’t lie to me’ look because she knew Jake was capable of helping Esmeralda to escape from her. All of a sudden, Mary hears giggles from the kitchen sink. 

"Hmmmmm, I spy fingers underneath the cabinet. Could it be," asked Mary? Mary walks over to the kitchen sink and again she hears Esmeralda giggling. 

"There you are," said Mary while she opens the cabinet and finds her. 

"Hi, Mommy. You've found me," Esmeralda says while trying to hold in her laugh. 

"Yes indeed. I've found you, alright. Now, up to your room, Missy and clean your room," Mary says to her while pointing her right index finger at Esmeralda. Esmeralda giggles and makes her way to her room, instantly.

Meanwhile, Jake was watching the whole time; he finally spoke up and asked his wife, "So sweetheart, what's for dinner?"

Mary was startled, forgetting Jake was nearby but then relaxed and replied back, "Hmmm, I don't feel like cooking tonight. Let's order some pizza for dinner!!"

Then Jake was surprised by her words and said, "Pizza it is," he said with a huge grin on his face indicating that pizza was his favorite food to eat. They ended the night with a pepperoni cheese pizza and a combination pizza to satisfy their hunger. As a werewolf, one must eat for two. 

Meanwhile, Esmeralda was asleep in her bed, dreaming of meeting new friends soon but not sure when that will happen.
