I walked into the quiet hallway, closing the door behind me and glancing around in confusion. Where was he? As I wandered down the hallway, I couldn’t spot Evan. But when I turned around, I walked straight into a hard, unyielding body and looked up into a pair of dark, intense eyes.
“Run… Little wolf. Run.”
His voice had changed, sending a shiver through me and making my body heat up instantly. I took a cautious step back, two steps, and the predatory gleam in his eyes made me fear turning my back. But everything inside me screamed to run, which meant turning away. So I did. I fled, sprinting through the maze of hallways and through more corridors.
