From Shadow to Fortune

There was a young adult named Amara. She was from Nigeria and had come to London hiding her self and to become successful.Her parents had died when she was twelve year old,she was leaving with nothing but she had some small inheritance from her father, after his father death. Before she grew up she was being threatened because of her father’s property, because of that she arranged her self to come to London with some money to start her life safely. When she arrived, Amara carefully managed the little she had. She rented a small apartment and he don't have any friends or family to make a life for her in a foreign city. Life was very hard for her. Every day she stay alone thinking, but she pray for her for own dream to come to pass. One night,she did not sleep when others are sleeping in the mid night, she sit down and said to herself, “What a life… what a battle. I struggle to eat,I struggle to be proud of myself. But everything was poor because of my father’s family or mother's family are not here even they were here everything will worst than this,Is God that help me they will have sell all the property that remain with them Will I spend all of my daddy’s money before I even know the right step to take? It’s better if I go and learn a skill. From there, I can build my future.But now tomorrow I will go to the hairdresser to learn hair dressing, since I know a little about hairdressing before.” The next morning, she walked to the salon of Mrs. Anita, a well-known hairdresser in the city. She was nervous, but excitement bubbled in her chest. As soon as she entered, she greeted politely, “Hello.” Mrs. Anita looked up from her chair and smiled. “Hi, good morning. I am Mrs. Anita. Do you want to dress your hair?” Amara shook her head. “No… I just want to learn hairdressing.” Mrs. Anita raised an eyebrow, curious. “Okay, what’s your name? Come, let’s sit.” “My name is Amara,” she said. “I have some experience in hairdressing, but I want to learn more so I can open my own shop one day, just like this others.” “That’s nice,” said Mrs. Anita, studying her carefully. “But I don’t think you’re from this country.” Amara smiled softly. “Yes… I’m from Nigeria.” “I can see,” said Mrs. Anita. “So, why did you come here? What brings you to this country?” Amara Pause for a moment. “I’m chasing my career. I want to learn and make something for myself.” “That’s good,” Mrs. Anita nodded. “How long do you plan to learn hair dressing work? Months, or maybe a year?” “Just six months,” Amara replied. “I want to start as soon as possible. I don’t like staying at home doing nothing.” “That’s fine,” said Mrs. Anita. “Come tomorrow morning. We will sort out the payment and agreement then. There wasn’t time today, but we will handle it properly.” “Thank you, ma,” said Amara. “I appreciate it.” Mrs. Anita smiled warmly, and they hugged briefly. “Okay, see you tomorrow,” she said. Amara left the salon that day with a light heart. And she promise Mrs anita that she will come in the next day
