Chapter 11The next morning, they headed out for a ride to the driving schools. Toby realized that there were a limited number of highways and if you learned those, they’d get you most anywhere you needed to go. They stopped at the grocery store, picked up deli meat, bread and cheese for sandwiches and got enough food to last for the coming week.
As the day wore on, Toby became increasingly aware that Wayne would be leaving. It wasn’t so much the idea of being in Wayne’s house that bothered him, it was being away from Wayne. In the past two-and-a-half weeks, they’d hardly been out of each other’s sights. “I’m gonna miss you when you go,” he said to Wayne.
