LORRAINE'S POV
I wake up to a loud knock on the wooden door. It's a little earlier than the time Ryder said he would wake me today.
I roll out of the big bed and get to to door.
"Leon?" I exclaim after opening the door and finding the young man waiting on the other side.
"Shh! Ryder will kill me if he learns I came to you," he says in a low tone.
"Okay. You want to come inside?" I ask.
"Not now," he answers.
He pulls out a card from his pockets and hold it out for me to take. "You must be concerned and curious about the things you saw last night. I do not agree with the traditions of this family either. That's wht I came to warn you that there are many more stranger things you're yet to know about," he says.
