Lucia’s POV

I was surprised to see my mother was at the hospital with me the whole time I had been here.  It turned out that Amber, Ronnie and Vlad had been working together to try and figure out who Anthony was and what he wanted with me.  Vlad had told Amber that I was pregnant before I had even met Anthony but hadn’t said anything to me because he didn’t want to frighten me.  I was thankful that he was so considerate.  I honestly don’t know what I would have done had I found out that my first time ever having s*x was from a rape and not only that I ended up pregnant.  I probably would have looked into measures to get rid of the pup some way.  I don’t know that I would have allowed myself to love it like I have grown to do.  Before meeting Anthony and even right up until the time he beat me I believed myself to hate Lucas and love Anthony.  The truth was I never really loved Anthony he was just saying the right words.  In the deep recesses of my mind it was always Lucas I was dreaming about. It was Lucas that was the one touching me and taking care of me.  I had felt a pull towards Lucas the very first time I had met him.  I couldn’t explain it but there was a pull deep down in my soul which I have come to know now was the mate bond.  I believed Lucas when he told me he would never hurt me again.  Funny thing is when Anthony said those words to me I didn’t really believe him.  I was nervous going back home to the pack though.  Mother informed me that Brian had yet to stand trial as they were waiting for me to be well enough to come back and testify as to how he had rejected and hurt me.  I didn’t want to see him in the beginning but then Vlad reminded me how strong I was with Anthony and that I could be just as strong with facing Brian.  He was right of course and while I didn’t say it out loud he looked at me and said “I know I am.”  Then he walked away giving me a wink.

I was cleared by the doctor for travel and was going to be miserable as I was in the last month of my pregnancy.  But then a big part of me was glad that I would be giving birth in my home pack with my family and friends around me.  It also worked well that Lucas would be there as well as it was imperative that the royal family be a part of this battle.  I still hadn’t shifted as it was dangerous to do so in my weakened state.  It could potentially hurt me and the baby and I wasn’t willing to take that chance in any way.  We were taking Lucas’ private jet and lucky for us we would be able to go straight to pack grounds as there was an airstrip on our pack lands that was capable of handling a jet this size.  Once we got aboard Lucas came over to me kissing my hand first and then my cheek.  Then his gaze fell to my stomach and his hand touched our pup.  Of course the pup reacted to his father’s touch and kicked like no other.  “How are my two favorite wolves doing today?”  He whispered in my ear sending shivers down my back.  I looked up at him and smiled. “Just a little tired and feeling off kilter but other than that we are doing just fine.”  He queried with me as to what I meant by off kilter and I told him that I think it’s just the whole going back to the pack that was getting me nervous.  He nodded but still wore a look of concern for me.  I reassured him that all was well.  That’s when he suggest that once the plane got in the air since it would take two hours to get there that I take a little nap in the cabin.  I was amazed that the plane had a bed in it and told him that sounded like a great idea.  After the plane was in the air I made my way to the cabin.  As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out like a light.  But I didn’t rest well as my dreams were taking me to some time in the future once again.  Only this time it wasn’t a sweet scene between my pup and my mate.

Lucian’s POV

When I heard that Lucia was finally coming back I was estatic.  Of course I have learned to like Lucas and honor him as my sister’s fated mate I can’t say I was happy with what happened when they first met.  But Lucas assured me that would never happen again and if it did he would surrender himself to me so that I could execute him.  He gave his word as a member of the royal family.  I found Lucas to be an honorable man and wolf so I told him if my sister was capable of forgiving him that I would be able to get past it as well.  I made my way to the cells to where we were holding Brian for the last several months to let him know of the good news.  He wouldn’t have to wait much longer for his trial and execution.  Lucia was on her way back to the pack lands and she wasn’t alone.  When I got to the dungeon where the cells were I made my way to the very end cell to find my former Beta.  I still hadn’t chosen a Beta but my Gamma and Delta were doing a damn good job helping out around the pack.  I wanted to ensure that I chose the right person for the job.  Turns out Brian wasn’t liked by many people in the pack. He had been cruel to many of them.  I had even worked out a plan with the rogues giving them a piece of land to call their own.  The rogues were happily waiting for the trial to begin so that they could offer the information they had about Brians plans as well.  The guy was seriously disturbed and worse yet his chosen mate was imprisoned now because not only did she know of his plans but she encouraged and helped him carry them out as well.  Where did people get off being this way towards others?  This was not how our pack acted.  I stood at the cell observing for quite some time before I made myself known to my prisoner.  Often times when I thought about throwing in the towel and giving my father back the reigns I would come down here and watch Brian without him knowing.  I knew that I would have to be stronger than I was before if I were to defeat those like Brian who were against me.  I had also found out that our family had blessed wolves in it and my little sister was one of those blessed wolves.  I wondered what Brian was going to say when I told him.  I flicked on the lights to let him know that I was there and his head came up and he looked me in the eyes.  “So the great Alpha Lucian has decided to pay me a visit I see.  To what do I owe the pleasure?”  I just shook my head and smiled at him I couldn’t wait to tell him the reason for my visit.

Brian’s POV

I have been locked in this cell for months now.  I wanted to get out of here so bad but they kept pumping me with wolfsbane so that I couldn’t shift and break out of this f*****g hell hole.  Every now and then Lucian would come down to the cells and just watch me.  He didn’t think I knew but I could sense him there.  Today was different though.  I sensed him as soon as he arrived but there was a difference in his aura and I couldn’t quite put my finger on it.  Why the f**k did it seem like he was happier today than he has been the last several months?  If my calculations were correct his pup should be born any time now.  Maybe that’s what had him so giddy.  Maybe he came to gloat about his new little pup.  I didn’t f*****g care.  If I ever got out of here I was going to end the entire f*****g line and if there was a pup even better.  I would make him watch as I ended his pups life, then his mates, then his parents and even that little b***h sister of his if I ever find her.  Then maybe I would give him some mercy and end his life.  Just then the lights switched on.  He was letting me know that he was there.  I wasn’t afraid I looked him in the eyes and said “so the great Alpha Lucian has decided to pay me a visit I see.  To what do I owe the pleasure?”  He just shook his head and smiled at me like the cat that ate the canary.  What a f*****g i***t.  “I have some good news for Brian.  Turns out you will be getting out of these cells soon.”  I looked at him in surprise.  There was no way he was letting me go so that only meant one thing.  As if reading my mind he smiled and said “yep, Lucia is coming home.  She’s ready to tell the Elders everything you did to her that night.  Also, your little rogue friends had no clue what you had been doing or that you had been attacking random members of MY PACK framing them.  They are going to tell the Elders all about your plot to kidnap MY LUNA in order to weaken me and take over.” I just sneered at him and so he continued.  “There is something else you should know.  Lucia isn’t coming back home alone.  She found her second chance mate and guess what?  He’s a member of the Royals.  In fact now that he’s found his mate he is actually going to become the king.  Want to know something else?”  I looked at him and was trying to figure out what else this fucker could tell me.  “Turns out when you rejected my sister you really screwed up.  She’s a blessed wolf and you would have known that had you not nearly killed her.  But I have to hand it to you if it wasn’t for your greed I would have never known there were two plots going on to take over my pack.  So I guess in a way I owe you a big thanks.  But you are still going to die for your mistakes.  Oh and your little chosen mate, ya well she is going to die right alongside of you.  Lucia should be here within the hour and the Elders will be here in three.  So savor the last few hours of your miserable life.”  I looked at him and swore.  “You stupid son of a b***h, who the hell do you think you are?  I’m better than you will ever be just because you were born into an alpha family and I into a beta one doesn’t make you better.  If I ever get out of these chains I’m going to f*****g kill you and enjoy doing it.”  Lucian just shook his head, looked at me and said “Oh you will get out of the chains and this cell but when it happens you will be the one dying.  I can’t wait for my little sister to finally be able to face you and put closure on what you did to her.  Then she, her mate and their pup can live life without you being in the background.”  My jaw dropped to the floor.  She had mated with another and was going to have his pup?  Lucian didn’t even spare me a backwards glance as he walked away.
