Finding the wolf
Hunter’s p.o.v
My beta, Carlos Grace and my delta, Allen Jackson, came with me to a nightclub nearby after I had us all take a scent masking mixture made by one of the witches that had sought asylum with my pack, The Hidden Pine Pack a while back.
We were on a mission to find the Belladonna wolf and kill him or to find clues that could lead us to him. It was something all packs wanted to do ever since the rumor came out from the Red Moon Pack.
We’re just walking around checking out the humans that were drinking, dancing around us. We are all around 20 but haven’t found our mates yet. Not that I was upset, it just feels awkward with everyone else other than the ones in power having mates and all.
Dianna’s p.o.v
My next target seemed pretty easy, a 24 year old man. Hopefully, he would be the last person I ever killed I hated killing more than anything, it made me feel like a psychopath that loved causing pain, not to say that I don’t like seeing my enemies die.
This man r***d, and scarred one of my best female fighters, Hati Shang who died of suicide last month, Febuary.
I put on a gold dress that hugs my curves for the club where some of my trackers had located him. I curl my brown hair and apply a little make up just to highlight my face and blue eyes. Finally I grab a vial of belladonna mixed with honey, rose water and vanilla essence with a hint of crushed almonds to mask my scent completely so I don’t smell like anything. Of course, it was a regular mixture of odd liquids but I know a witch or two that helped me put some magic into the concoction.
I arrived at the club and was walking over to over to a table where one of my male fighters named Charles Brown was, when a man bumped into me. I saw his griffin tattoo on his right arm, I could tell he was a wolf like me.
I immediately knew that he had a witch that made him a scent masking mixture as well, he had no scent on him at all, only that of a human’s. I glare at him harshly
His blond hair and his bright green eyes seem to be checking me out up and down.
I smirked slightly when I saw that he couldn’t smell my wolf’s scent either, I quickly shook it off and put on the glare again
“Hey! Watch where you’re going!” I snap like one of those “Mean girls” when he doesn’t apologize. He looks at me slightly annoyed but amused as well.
“Whatever..” I mutter as I stalk away from him and to Charles, dropping him a note that said:
Distract the bartender.
I slipped into the women’s washroom and put on a bartender’s uniform that I borrowed from Persia, my Beta, from when she used to work as a bartender before I became Alpha of the Belladonna Pack, also known as the biggest rogue wolf pack in the world. At least, that’s what the gossipers say.
Carlos’s p.o.v
I see the woman who bumped into Hunter, slide into the place of where the bartender was, with the smell of mangoes and peaches wafting up in the air. But I knew that she wasn’t my mate because I felt no type of attraction to her whatsoever and so I immediately got confused.
A man slides into a spot three chairs away from Hunter, Allen and I, right in front of the woman.
“I’ll have a glass of beer please.” he says with a flirty smile. A chill ran down my spine. The woman smiles and nods.
When the man looks away she cringes, turning around to get a transparent glass to fill with beer, an emotionless expression plastered on her face.
She hands it to the man and proceeded to whimper in horror at something behind him.
The man looks behind him, while he does the woman takes out a vial very quickly and pours it into the beer, right away I smell the piercing scent of belladonna mixed with a type of snake venom.
I realize that the Belladonna Wolf wasn’t a he, the Wolf was a she.
She puts the vial back into her pocket and when the man turns she had a crazed, scared look on her face, saying,
“I must be seeing things again.. I think I might need a break.” She then turns and leaves, running away. The man looked concernedly to the direction where the Belladonna Wolf had run.
I turned to Hunter who was busy with a beach blonde chick on his lap.
“Bro,” His head turned towards me calmly while the blonde’s turned to look at me with a seductive look in her eyes, “I think I may have found her.”
The seductive look in the blonde’s eyes faded, she had assumed that that when I said she, meant that Hunter was taken.
“What?! Found who?” she asked, trying to sound unaffected while Hunter pushed her off and told her, harshly, to go away while I glanced nervously at the man who hadn’t yet taken a sip of his beer.
Charles’ p.o.v
Dianna came towards me and dropped a note saying:
Distract the bartender.
So I walk towards the bartender and asked him,
“Sir I seem to have an urgent problem and someone told me to come ask you.” I motion for him to come with me, pretending that it was embarrassing,
“Of course .” he says and follows me,
“Umm so you see I just need to ask you about some drinks in mind.”
“Okay, shoot.”
“Well you see some people that I ask are telling me that wine is the only alcohol that doesn’t affect your body. Is this true?” I panicked and I just asked the first question that popped into my mind I slightly blushed.
I see Dianna point her finger in horror which was my cue to let the bartender go in about 10 seconds.
“Well your friends are partly correct, red wine is a healthier choice because of its high antioxidants.” I see Dianna leave and so I say hurriedly.
“Thank you sir.” I leave the bartender behind with a confused expression on his face.
I did feel bad about doing this to the bartender, but it was the least I could do, after all. The man whose murder we planned r***d my mate, Hati.
Hunter’s p.o.v
I had a blonde on my lap when Carlos said that he found the Wolf. I started to think, my wolf Xavier was chiming in at random times, it was unlike him. Wolves don’t exactly speak unless they have to or want to,
The Belladonna Wolf that we are looking for is a she.
I push off the girl and tell her to leave ignoring her many annoying and unnecessary questions
Yes I heard that Hunter I’m not deaf. I roll my eyes, now he decides to speak after a while of not speaking, I ask Carlos,
“Where is she?” He scans the room and his gaze lands on a table where the woman, who bumped into me, sat with a man sitting next to her/
“It’s her? Really?” I ask in a disbelieving tone. “She just looks, not scary.”
“Yes I saw her pour a vial of belladonna in that man’s drink.” he responds, dead serious, Carlos then points to the man who was sitting at the bar away from us.
I look back at the brunette and the man and notice them sitting far apart and staring intently at a man. The space between them is about 12 inches apart so I assumed that they are not mates. For some reason that relieved me greatly and just as quickly, I shook that feeling off.
I look at the man who they seem to be staring at intently and while he sips his beer they smirk and high-five each other.
They stand up, and at the same time the man who had just taken a sip of his beer starts to shake and falls to the ground holding his throat while foam seems to come out of his mouth and finally he stops moving. He was dead, still twitching as if his body wanted to keep moving up and about.
I look at the man and women as they smile at each other and leave the club.
I had found the Belladonna Wolf after months of searching, what I didn’t expect, she was a female Werewolf.
