I am relieved when Dave takes Mike into custody. "I will come back to pick up his car later" David says before he drives away. I check my phone again to see that Meldody is still sleeping soundly. That kid can sleep through a tornado, but if I am anywhere in the house and say the word 'cake' she hears it and comes running.

I turn my attention to William, he looks agitated. I know we are still on camera outside so I turn and walk in to the kitchen without a word. William follows me and I can hear him closing the door behind us. I busy myself with making coffee while I wait for him to tell me what's bothering him. It does not take long before he says: "Why would you provoke an armed, drunk man? He could have killed you!"

"I saw him coming up the road so I put my camera on live stream and warned my lawyer, Amanda and Matt of the situation. I have been trying to get Mike to stop harassing me for years, but I didn't have any proof. Noone could help me without proof. I also have the babycall on the phone so I was sure Melody was asleep while he was here. I am sorry that I scared you, but I saw this as an opportunity to finally get him away from me and Melody."

He walks up to me only standing an inch away. He is breathing hard when he says slowly: "You could have been killed! What would that have proved?" I straighten up ready answer him, when his lips lands on mine. That shuts me up alright! I stiffen because I am shocked, but when he takes a hold of my nape and deepens the kiss I melt and starts kissing him back. With one swift move he lifts me up on the kitchen counter. Sitting on the counter I am a little taller so he doesn't have to bend down so much.

He is such a good kisser! I totally loose myself in the moment. He is holding me tight with one of his hands under my cardigan traveling up and down my back to feel me, before resting on my hip to hold me in place. the other hand is still on my head making me feel sparks. I am on the verge of dry humping him when he finally stops kissing me to get some air. I feel all light headed as he leans his forehead against mine.

How embarrassing, he kisses me once and I am about to throw myself on him right away. I should not do this, I was supposed to keep him at arms length not make out with him. Suddenly I feel a finger under my chin, lifting my face up until my eyes meet his. "Stop it! I can feel you trying to push me away again by analyzing every aspect of a situation that hasn't happened jet. We have just kissed and it was so good that I want to do it again. Was it that good for you?" Will asks while looking me deep in the eyes. I answer breathlessly: "Yes, but..." Before I can say another word he kisses me. "I like to get to know you better before this goes any further than kissing, will you go on a date with me?" I want to: "But Melody..." I start but he interrupts me: "Is a lovely girl I would like to get to know too. I know you are a package deal and you both have to like me before we can move any further." He sounds so rational and in control of this situation. I am tempted to just give in, but I am afraid of dragging him down with me. "That is only if you want. I will not pressure you into anything. If you don't want to date me just tell me and I will leave you alone." He says while backing away from me.

I feel the loss of his body heat and I miss it already. If I start dating him I know he will figure out my secrets, one after another. Maybe others will catch on too? Or maybe he will be the next victim of this towns rumors. I know I have been thinking too long when I see his face turning down. I jump down from the counter and walk over to him, holding him in place: "I am afraid my bad reputation will affect you. That I am pulling you down in the mud with me. I would like to date you, I just don't like the consequences that might have on your life. I swore to myself that I wouldn't date anyone after I got Melody because of all the drama and my secrets. But you are relentless and have discovered my secret in the attic after only a day of being in Blue River. That got to be some kind of record." I stop then, realizing I am word vomiting all over the place. I look up at William expecting him to run for the hills, but he is smiling brightly as he stares down at me. "You done explaining now? I don't want to interrupt you again. I like the way you say everything on your mind so freely." He says. I look down knowing my face is red as a tomato. How can I ever look at him again? Will touches my face, forcing me to look at him in the eyes. "I am a big man and I would willingly dive into any mud with you. Do not worry about me, I can handle myself quite well. So that means we are going on a date? Do you have any plans tomorrow?"

I look at him in shock. Is this a good idea? Am I setting us up for heartbreak? This is terrifying, I can't predict the outcome. "Um... It is Saturday tomorrow so I got Melody tho whole day. It is too soon to ask for a babysitter on such short notice." I say. Maybe time is a good thing. That will give me time to think this through. "Let's take Melody with us to the amusement park in Georgetown. She is going to hear the rumors anyway about us going out and it is important to me that she is ok with the thought of us dating. The whole town is going to talk about the incident that happened this evening, so it might be a good idea to get out of town for a little while." He says. I am speechless! It does sound tempting and I am running out of excuses. Still I have this feeling that I really shouldn't date anyone in case they find all my secrets.

Before I have time to answer my phone rings. I put in on speaker when I see who is calling. "Hi Amanda! I am here with Will, your on speaker!" I say in hope of her turning down her ranting, but no such luck: "Key how could you?! You just texted me 'Watch this and if anything goes wrong please get Melody!' With a link to your livestream! Do you have any idea how worried I was when he pulled that gun? Thank god Will was there! I hope he gave you an earfull afterwards! I am so mad at you right now! Don't ever do that to me again!"

She could go on forever so I cut her off by saying: "I am sorry Amanda! I had to short of notice to do anything else. I did not mean to scare you or put my life in danger. I was only hoping to get him to admit something in the livestream so I could get a restraining order. Will was mad at me too. We just talked about it"

Amanda gave a sigh before she continued: "I am also mad you didn't tell me you are going out with Will! Seriously! I am your best friend! I should be the first to know! Now I had to see it in a livestream together with everyone else!"

I am a little shocked that she got that impression from the livestream. Before I got to answer Will says: "We haven't gone out, but I just asked her. You don't mind do you?"

Amanda actually cheered: "Yes, she really needs a date and to go out more. Just let me know if you need a babysitter! I love Melody and she helps a lot with my three babies. They all act so nicely when Melody is here, but when she leaves their back to their old shenanigans. So please take her with you wherever you want, I am on your side!"

"Seriously?! You better stop talking know before i get mad at you Amanda!" I say because she makes me sound so desperate.

Amanda takes it as a challenge and says: "What? I can tell him all your embarrassing stories! Did you know.." Before she could finish i said: "Bye" and hung up. I heard Will laugh but I don't want to look at him right now. Will walks over to me and pull my chin up so I have to look him in the eye.

Will says: "Don't be embarrassed, I love that you have someone who cares so much about you. And she probably has some embarrassing stories about me too, so I am not safe either." Then he kisses me, but we both jump back when we hear the front door burst open.
