We were kissing when the door burst open. We both jump back and turn towards the door. First I thought It was Mike coming back for Keyla, but before I have time to react I see Matt storming in and lifts Keyla in a bear hug. I am about to get jealous, when Keyla taps his arm making him realize her. "Ok Matt! I am fine, Will is fine, everything is fine. I am sorry about the message, I did not intend to scare you. I just had very little time to react before Mike got here." Matt held her shoulders looking in her eyes while he breathed heavily: "I am so mad right now! I wish I could get here before so I could punch the bastard! How dare he treat you like that? Has anyone else treated you like that? Please tell me so I can take care of it so this does not happen again!"

Keyla tilt her head to the side amd says in a calm voice: "Matt take a deep breath! I am fine! Nobody else is pointing guns at me. Will is here and interfered." It seems Matt just know is acknowledging my presence in the room. He turns around blocking Keyla for my view and looks at me up and down: "What are your intentions with Keyla? Shr had been through hell and don't need s**t from you too!" I hear Keyla grown from behind him, I can only imagine how embarrassed she is right now. I smile and say: "I intent to take her and Melody out tomorrow. I like to get to know them better and I want to start dating Keyla."

Before Matt can say anything more he is handed a glass from Keyla. "Here some iced tea cause you need to cool down." She says and gives him a pointed look. I can see Matt is holding back a smile before he turns back to me in full seriousness. "You will treat her well or I will kick your **s! Trust me when I say that it is not her biological family you need to worry about because they are idiots. Keyla has another family that cares about her and it is the family she created. She doesn't trust easily so to gain her trust is precious. Do not f**k it up because we care and we will revenge her if necessary."

"Matt please stopp! Your so embarrassing! William, I totally understand if you want to run for the hills now. I won't hold it against you." Keyla says while looking at the floor. I walk to her fast. Matt is wise enough to step aside. I pull Keyla to me and lift her head up to meet my eyes. She is so different at home then she is at work. 'The Iron' is well known to never compromise and always gets her way. Still most belive 'The Iron' is a man and that makes it even easier for her to hide her identity. She looks up at me with those beautiful green eyes that pulls my heart stings. "You can't scare me away, I thought you knew that by now." I say with a rough voice. She looks up at me with hopeful eyes and says in a low voice: "It's going to take some time to get used to..."

Matt ruins the moment when he burst out: "Well it's getting really late. Let's go Will before we wake up Melody." He claps a hand hard on my shoulder and steers me towards the door. Keyla smiles and shakes her head. "See you tomorrow!" is all I managed to say before I am practicaly being pushed out the door. Matt takes fast steps towards his car and I make my way back to my parents house.

The next day starts way too early with someone knocking repeatedly on the door. My parents doesn't seem to be home right now, so I guess they went out somewhere. I put on some clothes before I finely make my way to the door. On the other side of the door stands a tall, slender woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She looks at me worried and says: "William are you alright? I saw the livestream from yesterday. You are so brave! I can't belive my sister got you in to that mess! I just told her that she shouldn't ruin other peoples lives just because she is miserable. I know she must have done something terrible to make the nice sheriff so mad. You should stay away from her because she is bad news! She will have you all wrapped around her little finger before she let you go for no reason. She has a sugar daddy on the side so she can't get too serious with anyone else so she drops them like flies."

This girl can really talk my ear off. I guess she is Catherine, Keylas sister. I can't hear anymore off this nonsense. "That is not true and you should not spread lies about your sister just because your jealous. She is not ruining anyones lives and the sheriff is not a nice guy and he deserves everything he's going to get. You can see that I am fine, thanks for the concern! Bye!" I shut the door in her face before she makes me more mad. I go to make myself ready for the day and hope to get away with Keyla and Melody as fast as possible.

Suddenly there is another knock on the door. I am hoping it is Keyla, but no such luck. There stands the towns three bachelorettes with another basket of food each. They all start yapping about the livestream and how scary it was to watch. They talk about my well being, but when they start to bad mouth Keyla, I had enough. "That is not what happened and you all know it. Do not talk bad about Keyla with me because I won't stand for it. I guess none of you took the time to check if Keyla and Melody was alright after what happened. Still you had time to bake something for me. Please leave before I get more mad about this situation!" I slam the door shut and hurry up to get ready so we can leave this town for a while.

I practically run down to Keylas house and knock on the door. Keyla opens the door and tilt her head while looking at me. "Hi!" I say to break the silence, but it seems silly as soon as I blurted it out. Keyla smiles while holding back her laugh. "Hi!" she says back. I don't know how to be smooth about it so I just blurt out: "So are you ready to go to Georgetown?"

The look of suprice flashes over her face. "You still want to go?" she asks. I carefully hold her head in my hands so she can't look away from me. "Of course! Why wouldn't I? You can't scare me away remember?"

She blushes and says with misty eyes: "I thought it was the adrenaline talking and after talking with others you would come here and cancel. You don't owe me anything, you don't have to do this out of pity or..." I kiss her before she can continue. This woman drives me crazy sometimes. "Belive me now or do I have to demonstrate further?" I say with a smurk when I see her dazed expression. "I'll.. get Melody ready" she says before turning around and walking back into the house. I turn around and drive my car in front of the house. I can see Keyla has put some bags by the door so I start to load the car. Keyla comes over with a car seat for Melody. As soon as the car seat is installed Melody comes running out of the house and right into my arms "My knight!" she yells and I have to spin her around because if the momentum she causes. I can see Keyla wants to protest so i cut her off "Hey princess! Ready to have some fun today?" She squel before giving me a hug. I put her down in her seat and shut the door. I hold the door open for Keyla but before she can get inn I hear someone calling my name. "William Alexander Bane how could you?!"
