A few days later and Mia still hasn’t arrived.
Of course, I am in contact with her. She was unable to book a flight on that particular day, and the current travel situation in her state seemed to be getting worse each day. She also spends the most of our calls apologizing for being unable to show up, and I assure her that I am fine and more concerned for her.
Well, the only reason I can say that is because of someone who sleeps on my couch at night and vanishes before I get up. It took a lot of convincing to persuade Jayden to stay for more than one night, but he eventually agreed to spend the entire week at my house.
