JAYDEN I check my phone every minute, expecting a text or call from Freya, but nothing comes. It has been three days since I last saw her. Two days since I sneaked out of her apartment at 4 a.m. — like I do every morning since I started sleeping there — and left her a note, she never responded to. Not that I needed a response, but it would have made me feel better about this whole thing. Maybe she is just preoccupied with school, but I know better. She’s not been attending classes, and Mrs Greta hasn't heard from her either, as she presumably never stopped by the motel. So, what has she been up to then?
