Doomsday

Goodbye.

I looked around at everyone and they were watching me very closely.

"They are here to run some testing. It's to see who had a special strand of DNA that makes you different. If you have this strand of DNA, you are leaving with them and they are going to tell you more about it because I don't know all of the details. I will take the test first to show you that I trust it and that it's safe."

I looked at everyone then walked over to Daniel.

"Dominate arm."

I handed him my left arm and he made me flex. He wiped off a spot with a wipe and pricked me. He took that drop of blood and entered it into a machine. It showed him my DNA strand and I had it.

"You have the strand. Which means you're coming with us."

I nodded my head then turn to Hunter and Kyree.

"Well if she has it, do I have to take it too? We have the same DNA."

"Yes, you have to take it too."

Hunter walked up to him and they repeated the process. Hunters results popped up and Daniel looked at me.

"No, no no no."

I dropped to the ground and started sobbing. Hunter stood there shocked.

"You don't have it. You're staying."

I started crying even harder and Kyree went to the ground with me. He pulled me into his arms and held me while I cried. Hunter came up to us and helped me to my feet.

"We have to leave each other, again."

"I can't leave you again. I'm not going."

He pulled me into a hug and took a shaky breath.

"Tori, you have to."

"I can't leave you again. The last time I left you, we were separated for a long time. I swore to you that I'd never leave you again. You remember that? The promise we made a few years back?"

"Things have changed. You have to go Tori."

I started crying even harder. While we were standing there, Kyree got tested. I heard the machine beep and I looked at them. Kyrees eyes were shocked.

"Kyree, you're coming with us. You have the strand."

I looked at him and I felt better slightly. I looked back at Hunter.

"I don't want to go."

"I know. We will be okay. We are both strong on our own and strong when we are together. But you have to help people Tori. That's what you're good at."

I took a deep breath.

"You two need to go and pack, we are leaving as soon as we are done here and can get on the plane."

I nodded my head then Kyree took my hand and we walked to the house. We got to the room and I started crying even more and even harder. We started packing and I could barely breathe from how hard I was crying. I sat down and Kyree rubbed my back.

"I'll pack for you. Go spend time with your brother before we leave."

I nodded my head then went into the bathroom. I blew my nose and washed my face off with cold water. I walked out and kissed Kyree then went downstairs and saw Hunter sitting there with a picture in his hand.

"I know that you're leaving and I know that you're not going to leave me in charge here. I don't want to be. This place is your legacy and your story, not mine."

"I know."

"I know you don't want to leave because you're scared that I can't hold me own."

"Not true. I know you can. I just don't want to leave you because you're the only family I have left anymore."

He nodded his head. He handed me the picture and it was of us at the fair together and we looked happy with our cotton candy and stuffed prizes.

"We were so competitive with each other that day."

"Believe me, I know."

We started laughing and I looked at him.

"I really don't want to go."

"I know Tori. But it's your job to protect people. You have always been this way. I don't need you with me, we are being selfish."

I nodded my head. We stood up and he gave me another hug.

"I love you Hunter. I don't say it a lot but you are the best brother and friend I could have asked for."

He took a shaky breath. He held me closer and tightened the hug. I heard Kyree come downstairs and he hand our bags. He set our bags on the couch and I let Hunter go. They dabbed each other up then wrapped up in a hug. They whispered back and forth but I couldn't hear what they were saying.

"Why don't we head back to the Church."

Hunter grabbed my bag and Kyree grabbed his. We walked back to the Church and I saw Daniel packing up his station.

"Well?"

"There were only four supernaturals. We are leaving in ten minutes."

I nodded my head then I looked around at all of my people. I walked up to Oscar and Lana.

"I'm leaving with them. And you two are the only two people here I truly trust besides my family and Kyree."

They looked at me funny.

"I'm leaving the two of you in charge. Please do right by me and my name."

They nodded their heads then they each gave me a hug. I walked to the front of the Church and got on the stage.

"Everyone pay attention because I'm only saying this once."

They all started getting quiet and looking at me. I took a breath.

"I'm leaving. I have the strand meaning that I'm leaving Oscar and Lana in charge. I know that I was just elected to be in charge and I am honored. But it's my time to go on and do more and help in different ways. I will not forget you all and what we have started here."

I went to get off the stage then I heard clapping. I looked up and saw Serina walking closer to me clapping her hands.

"You are such a pathetic coward."

"Excuse me?"

"The moment you have power handed to you, you run. Are you scared?"

"Of course I am. Everyones lives depend on me! So yeah, that's scary. But I'm not running from this responsibility or running from responsibility in general." I got off the stage and stood an inch away from her. "I'm no two faced coward like you. I am doing my job to protect others. What are you doing? Acting like a little girl that's not getting what she wants."

She scoffed.

"You have no clue who you're talking to."

"Yeah I do. A prissy little daddy's money girl that's always gotten her way. Well guess what, that's not how the world works anymore. Your daddy isn't here to save you anymore or throw money at people to get you what you want."

She stared at me.

"You're such a bitch."

I smirked at her and got even closer.

"And you're nothing but a w***e that opens her legs and has daddy pay to get rid of your problems. What're you at now? Six?"

She shook her head then stepped back.

"You have no clue what you're talking about."

"Do I?"

I smiled then shoulder checked her as I walked away. Kyree and Hunter stood there with Daniel and the three of them looked at me utterly shocked.

"Where did that come from?"

"She was pissing me off. Miss, gets knocked up by an entire friend group and has her father pay for it to be killed because she wants to go to college."

I rolled my eyes then I saw a plane.

"What the hell?"

They looked up and Daniel chuckled.

"Our ride is here. It's going to land in the field."

We started walking with Daniel and his group with Lily and Elijah, the other supernaturals. All of us got to the plane and once it landed, a few people came out and grabbed our bags from us. I turned to Hunter and hugged him one last time.

"I love you too Tori. We will always find each other no matter what."

I took a shaky breath. That was the first time I have heard my brother tell me he loved me. I let him go and Ky gave him a hug.

"It's time to go."

They let go of each other then I hugged Hunter one last time before getting onto the plane. I sat down and Kyree sat next to me then Daniel sat across from us. It was a military grade plane.

"How long is the ride?"

"A few hours. You should get some sleep before meeting The Elders and getting settled in."

"The Elders?"

"They are the oldest living supernaturals. The strand of DNA shows what type of supernatural you are. From a wolf, to a witch, to a fae. We are going to a supernatural training base where you will be taught how to unlock your powers and use them to help people and kill these creatures so we can start building the world back up."

"What will happen to us when humans realize what we are?"

"We will learn to coexsist. We were able to do it many years ago but back then people weren't very open minded towards us. But now, we have a chance to show that we are just the same and can be helpful."

"Won't they think that it was us that created the creatures just to make us look good?"

"Considering that we have lost our own people and family members, that would be heartless."

I looked down at the ground.

"Tori, get some sleep."

I looked at Kyree and he softly smiled at me. I rested my head against his shoulder but he moved me so I was laying on his lap. I started falling asleep then I heard heavy footsteps and saw someone talking to Daniel. They got up and left which was weird to me. Daniel came back and looked at us.

"Detour. We have to stop and pick up a group because they found a few more supernaturals and need to come to the base."

"How many?"

"There is only three."

I nodded my head.

"As long as everyone is safe, we can stop as many times as we need to. None of us will complain."

I sat up and buckled my seat back in. I leaned my head against Kyrees shoulder and started drifting back asleep because of how tired I was. We started landing and the door opened. I saw a group of five get onto the plane and I recognized one of the guys. He used to be obsessed with me. He looked at me and Kyree then looked pissed.

"Tori?"

"Yes Anton?"

"So this is what you've been up to? We are going through a f*****g war right now and you're hoeing yourself out to any dude still."

Kyree stood up and I saw the way he balled his fists. I quickly unbuckled myself and grabbed his hand.

"Baby, it's okay. Ignore him."

Kyree took a breath then looked at me. He saw that I was hurt but that I was also scared. He nodded his head and we sat down. Before we did, I turned and got in Antons face.

"Disrespect me again and you'll find out the hard way why your cousins were so f*****g scared of me."

I shoved him out of my face and he looked like he was ready to explode. I looked over and saw my people about to get up but I waved them down. Daniel gave me a concerned look and I shook my head 'no' meaning that I wasn't going to talk about it. I held Kyrees hand the whole time that the plane started going up in the air and once we were flying again, he made me lay on his lap so I could sleep as he played with my hair.

I fell asleep feeling calm and at peace then I woke up around an hour later to Daniel and Kyree talking.

"As I just said, she's stronger than you think."

"Daniel, I'm not saying she's not. I'm saying that there is a chance that you could be wrong and that you read her chart wrong."

"She has two strands of supernatural DNA Kyree. We need to let her know so she can know what her full potential."

"We can talk to her later or have the Elders tell her. But right now she needs to sleep. You have no clue how long it takes me to get her to sleep let alone keep her asleep."

"Fine. But as soon as she wakes up, we need to tell her."

He walked away and I heard Kyree sigh.

"I know that you're awake right now and that you heard everything. Just go back to sleep and I'll explain everything later baby. I promise."

I looked up at him and he smiled lightly at me. He rubbed my head and made sure that I was going back asleep. I fell back asleep and I felt him continue to rub my head and play with my hair. I felt the plane start to sway and I jolted awake.

"Calm down, we are landing."

I took a breath. I sat back in my seat and buckled in. I held Kyrees hand and he kissed the back of my hand.

"When we land, everyone stay seated so the team can get everything off of the plane and give you your bags. The Elders will come onto the plane and tell you what kind of supernatural you are so you know what to tell them."

I nodded my head and looked at Kyree. Once we landed, none of us moved and someone put my bags under my legs and smiled at me. Once the team was done bringing in everything, we sat there for a few minutes just waiting.

"They're coming, don't worry."

Right on cue, I heard shoes clicking onto the metal and looked over. There was three females and three males that had just walked in. They all looked a little older, around their fifties. Once they got on They divided themselves up and went to the different groups. One woman walked up to me and Kyree.

"A witch, you're very strong my dear child."

She looked at me closer.

"There's something else."

The other Elders looked at me and one of the men came up to me and Kyree.

"Wolf. Both of you are Alphas. You two are very strong."

I looked at Kyree and we looked shocked. I stood up and the female Elder thought I was challenging her.

"Tori, sit down."

I looked at Daniel and there was nothing but fear on his face.

"Dear, you should listen."

"There is no way. You have to be wrong."

"We are never wrong."

I looked away.

"Sit back down child."

"Don't call me that."

I looked her directly in the eyes. I could tell just by looking at her, she saw shocked and timid.

"Sit down."

I felt my stomach get heavy but I ignored it. It started getting worse but I put up a block and made sure that the pain was out of my head. She started making it worse but I kept ignoring it. Eventually she stopped and looked at the other Elders.

"Come with me."

I held onto my stomach and Kyree grabbed my hand. He got up and grabbed our bags then we walked behind her. She led us through the training base and into a office. I looked around then she sat at the desk.

"How did you do that?"

"Do what?"

"Block me out."

I shrugged my shoulders.

"I've always been able to do that. Block out things."

"Not that level of pain. I was boiling your intestines."

I looked at her and Kyree.

"You should've been on the ground screaming in pain, not standing there unbothered by the pain."

I looked at Kyree and he looked equally as shocked as I was. I looked back at the Elder and she sighed.

"You're stronger than I thought. We need to get started on your training as soon as possible."

"I know how to use it just not fully. I've been able to control the weather and fire for a long time but I've always thought that was my full power."

"No, if you're able to do that at such a weak level, you are almost as powerful as we are."

I shook my head.

"That's not possible. To be as powerful as an Elder, I'd have to be a direct descendant of one. Which I know for a fact that I'm not. I look exactly like both of my parents, I've seen my birth records, and I have a sibling."

"And they're not here. Meaning that you've taken the power of two and combined into one. And you don't have to be a direct descendant, it can skip a generation."

My eyes widened and I looked at Kyree again.

"My nana."

He looked down and the Elder looked confused.

"Your nana?"

"She's a witch. She didn't use it a lot but she was very strong without her even trying. She hasn't aged a day in almost twenty years."

The Elder pulled out a picture and showed it to me.

"Does she look like any of these people in this picture?"

I looked at it and it was a very, very old picture. I looked at it very closely and it was a picture of all of the Elders and a few other people. One of them was my nana.

"That's her. The last one on the left."

She took the picture back and sighed.

"Melody."

"How'd you know her? Or her name?"

"She was my best friend and fellow Elder. We went to a supernatural school together and trained together. That's how she got her name. Because she was the first witch in history to figure out how to use music, into their craft."

I was shocked. I knew that my nana was cool, but I didn't know she was that cool.

"Why'd she leave?"

"She got pregnant with your father and wanted to leave to raise him. She got pregnant with a wolf's child instead of a witch. And she was scared that your father would have been killed."

"Would they have killed him?"

"No. We accept all hybrids but we were just disappointed with her because of how strong she was. We wanted her at her full potential but she couldn't complete her training because of the damage it would've done to your father."

"Is Scott his actual father?"

"Yes. But he killed his wolf to become human. Scott was always not someone that was pleasant to be around."

I chuckled I sat down and took a breath.

"I think I need a break."

"I'll have Cora show you to your room and let you get settled in. Tomorrow we will have breakfast all together and start your training. Both of you."

"Can we stay together?"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Of course."

She stood there for a few seconds and her eyes glazed over. Thirty seconds later someone walked in and her eyes went back to normal.

"Right this way."

She led us down the hall and Kyree took my bags from me and carried everything while we followed this Cora girl to our new room. As soon as we got there, she handed us each a key then smiled at Kyree. I rolled my eyes.

"Trust me baby girl, you're not his type."

"I like 'em crazy."

He grabbed on my hip then opened the door while I smirked at her. She looked angry and then she walked away. I walked into the room and looked around. We had a private bathroom with a walk in shower and a huge tub separate. The bed was huge with black sheets and comforter. The room was very dark and it was relaxing. There was a knock at the door so I opened it while Kyree put our bags on the bed. I opened it and Daniel was standing there. I let him in.

"How was that possible?"

"Apparently everyone is wondering that."

"Tori, what you did back there is impossible. You fought off the power of an Elder."

"I know that Daniel."

He shook his head.

"What did you talk to her about?"

"Don't worry about it."

He had a few bags in his hand.

"What's that?"

"Gifts from the Elders to everyone. These are the both of yours."

He handed me the bags so I brought them to the bed.

"Dinner will be served at seven so you have a few hours to look around and see things. The training rooms are all locked and blocked off for safety reasons. But everything else is open to us to come and go."

"Thank you."

"No problem."

He walked out so I started unpacking my bags. I put my clothes away and there was a knock at the door. It was Cora.

"Here are your uniforms. You have to wear them tomorrow."

"Thank you."

She handed me our uniforms and I had two different colors.

"Why do I have different colors?"

"Red is for the stronger witches to show what group you're in. The blue is for all of the wolves. And the tan is a standard uniform."

"So what do what I wear tomorrow?"

"I would wear the red if I were you. You are going to get a branding tattoo to show what you are."

"Okay, thank you Cora."

She nodded her head and I went up to Kyree.

"Do you care that I'm a hybrid?"

"I think that it makes sense and that it doesn't matter to me. Because at the end of the day, you're mine."

He pulled me in by my waist and kissed me softly. I deepened the kiss then there was a pounding knock at the door.
