“What happened to your brother?”

“After I brought you to the bathroom, he cleaned up for us and went back to his room.”

“That’s what you two usually do?”

“You make us sound like we are weirdos with a weirdo routine.”

“Well your brother watched you f**k me so I’d call that a little weird.”

“He prefers to watch. He’s an action guy, yes. But he likes sitting back and watching sometimes.”

I chuckled then he got in bed with me. He pulled the covers over our bodies and pulled me onto his chest.

“Why are you so insecure?”

“Why do you have to ask obvious questions?”

I sat up and he looked into my eyes.

“You can show me your memories and see mine.”

“What?”

“You can control the elements. Meaning that you can bend the universe at your will. Using energy, we can be connected and I can see your memories. The ones of your choice, obviously. But I want to know why.”

I nodded my head.

“How?”

“Relax and focus on the energy. You’ll be able to hear mine and feel mine. Connect them and let me in.”

I nodded my head and closed my eyes. I started controlling my breathing then I felt it, like he said. I connected us and looked him in the eyes. I let him in and showed him my childhood, the memories that hurt the most. I showed him the one that hurt more than the rest, my father and step mother calling me overweight and forcing me into different sports and activities.

“Tori, you have to do something.”

“I don’t want to do any sports other than football.”

“That’s not an option.”

“Then I don’t know what you expect from me. I want to play that but you won’t let me.”

“Why not try yoga?”

“Yoga? I just did boxing, why would I go from boxing to yoga?”

“Well you’re not playing football. You won’t do softball or volleyball, and you don’t want to do anything else.”

“I just told you I could do dog walking, which is doing two things I like and get paid doing it.”

“That’s not going to be stable though.”

“Then how about I get a job or something? I don’t want to do yoga.”

“You’re doing it and that’s the end of discussion!”

I blinked and ended the wave. He pulled me into a hug.

“She was a b***h to you. I’m so sorry.”

“I didn’t realise it then but I do now, that this was mentally f*****g me up.”

He pulled me closer and we lied there for a while.

“There’s more.”

“I think that’s enough for right now.”

He nodded his head then I fell asleep on his chest. I woke up to something hitting the bed. I looked over and saw Bo lying there next to us.

“Good morning sexy creatures.”

I groaned then moved my head the other way to get blinded by sunlight. I tucked my face in Deimos’ neck and the two of them laughed.

“We have to get up for your swearing ceremony.”

“That’s today?”

“Yes Bo, that’s today.”

“Sounds like I’m getting some witchy p***y tonight.”, he sang.

I swung at him and he laughed as he dodged it. I got up and the two of them stared at my ass the whole time.

“I seriously don’t like either of you anymore.”

They started laughing then the both of them kissed each of my cheeks and they snuck me to my room. I got dressed into a pair of sweats and a hoodie then I put on my running shoes and walked out of my room. The two of them were fully dressed outside of my door waiting for me. Deimos went to kiss my cheek but I dodged it.

“Ready to go?”

I walked down the stairs and heard Bo laughing at Deimos. We got down to the garden then I thought of the base. A door appeared and we went to the base and I opened the door. We walked in and people stared at me again, mainly because I had two God’s at my heels escorting me to my Nana’s office. Once we got there, I noticed that all of the Elders were fully ready.

“Tori.”

“Nana.”

“It’s good that you’re not ready just yet. We have to show you three how you’re going to walk onto the stage, seating, everything.”

“Nana, the three of us aren’t dumbasses. I think we can figure out how to walk onto a stage.”

She chuckled then nodded her head.

“You’re right. I’m sorry, I’m just on the edge because my grandson beat the s**t out of an Alpha and my granddaughter is losing her mate bond to the same Alpha.”

“Is also being sworn in as Alpha.”

She nodded her head.

“Even more stress.”

“Relax Nana. Just make sure that you’re okay and not straining your health.”

She sat down and took a drink of water. I looked at the guys and Deimos looked furious with me.

“I’m going to go get ready.”

“Okay dear.”

The three of us walked out and I saw the designers.

“Ahh, there’s my gem.”

He kissed my cheeks.

“Ready?”

“Absolutely.”

They walked us to a room and my dress was hanging up and there were beauty products everywhere.

“Gentlemen, this is going to take a little while. Are you sure you want to stand there?”

“We aren’t leaving her.”

He nodded his head then brought behind a wall with the dress. I got undressed and he helped me put on the curve defining dress. Once it was all the way on, he helped me put on the heels and I looked in the mirror. It was off the shoulder, curvy, with a train behind it. It was a deep blood red and the corset was exactly as I imagined it. It was black with gold hints bleeding into the skirt. I fell in love with it.

I looked at him and I could tell he was in love with the dress too.

“I have no words.”

“You are amazing. This dress is perfect.”

We walked out and everyone's jaws dropped. Deimos and Bo stared in awe and I could tell that Deimos was thinking the dirtiest kind of thoughts. I sat down and they started doing my hair and makeup all over again. I had black lipstick on and winged eyeliner. My hair was curled around a simple crown with the moon phases and vines connecting them. I stood up and everything looked absolutely perfect.

Once they were done, I hugged each of the artists then Deimos and Bo walked me to the ceremony. Once we got there, they each kissed my cheek and took their seats. I looked over and saw all of the wolves in their outfits and they looked amazing.

“Tori?”

I turned around and saw Cole standing there with Kyree.

“You look amazing.”

I smiled at Cole.

“Thank you. I hope all is good between us now.”

“Don’t worry about it. I found my mate and she helped me realise how much of a d**k I was to you.”

I nodded my head then I looked at Kyree. He looked amazing in his suit, that matched my dress.

“Can we talk?”

“Not the time Kyree. You made your decision when you slept with her instead of dealing with the situation.”

“I get it, okay. I know I f****d up but I want to fix this. I don’t want to lose you.”

“You know what I live by? Fool me once, shame on you. But you won’t do it twice.”

He looked away then I heard Abylay.

“And now, the Alphas. Alpha Cole Richards.”

Cole walked out there and they slit his hand. They waited for someone to challenge him then they named his pack, Dark Moon.

“Alpha Kyree Brown.”

He went out there and they did the same thing, he’s the Alpha of the New Moon pack.

“Alpha Torrence Andrews.”

I walked out there and I felt all eyes on me. I walked up to Flora and Aby and they slit my hand over the flames. I felt a sudden rush of power, and it was amazing.

“Alpha Torrence Andrews, of the Blood Moon pack.”

“Descendant of the Silver Moon pack.”

I looked over and saw Papa Scott. He was standing there in formal attire. And took his seat.

“Any challenges?”

No one said a word and they handed me a towel. I walked up and took my seat in the middle of the two of them.

“Beta selection. Each Alpha drew their blood. When the betas cut their hand the Alpha's eyes will glow orange.”

They looked at each of us.

“Beta Devin Stevens.”

He cut his hand and he was Cole’s beta.

“Beta Raven Davis.”

She cut her hand and Kyree’s eyes glew.

“Of course the cheater gets a woman.”

“Not the time, Tori. Fire shots after.”

“Beta Michael Evens.”

He cut his hand and my eyes glew. He walked up to me and I stood up.

“I’ll forever be loyal to you Alpha.”

“Pledge your life?”

“Yours over mine.”

“The packs before ours.”

He nodded his head then stood beside me as I sat down. They went through all of the wolves and who they wanted to be their Alpha.

“I chose Alpha Torrence Andrews to be my Alpha.”

It was the girl that Kyree cheated on me with. I stood up and walked towards her. I stared her in the eyes and she enjoyed this.

“I accept.”

She looked surprised and I smirked.

“Congrats, I own you bitch.”

I turned back around and walked back up the stairs and I felt in complete control. I got back to my seat and I saw my Papa Scott. He looked proud of me, as if he was a part of my life. Once all of the wolves were claimed, the three of us stood up and looked over our packs.

“Cole, right here in front of everyone, I want to create an alliance with you.”

“Tori, when we were in the back talking, that was us agreeing to one.”

I nodded my head then Kyree looked at me, wanting me to talk to him.

“Yes or no Kyree?”

“You know that answer Tori, of course we are allies.”

I nodded my head then walked towards my people. As I walked down the stairs, Revolution by The Score started playing.

“I will lead by example. I won’t be perfect, and I will need your support. We are in this together and your life comes before mine. No wolf left behind.”

They nodded their heads then each slowly took a knee and bowed their heads down and chanted, “No wolf left behind.”

I stood there and I felt proud and powerful. I looked up and saw the expressions on Deimos and Bo’s faces. I looked over and saw that all of the other wolves were doing the same thing and that Cole and Kyree were standing beside me. We walked away and everyone cleared their chairs as they walked into the ballroom.

We got in there and took our seats at the front of the room. Everyone was talking and dancing but I saw Deimos trying to catch my attention. He and Bo walked over to me and I walked off the stage and over to them.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. I wanted to congratulate you.”

He kissed me in front of Kyree to make a statement and I let him. Bo kissed my cheek then I saw the designer. He rushed up to me and he looked happy.

“Okay good, it hasn’t happened yet.”

“What’re you talking about?”

“If you spin, your dress will change.”

“What do you mean?”

“During the first dance, you have to dance with your mates as Alphas and when he goes to spin you, you’ll shock the whole room with a dress change.”

I nodded my head. I looked over at Deimos and he chuckled.

“Is this your way of asking me to be your new mate?”

“No, this is my way of telling Kyree to go f**k himself.”

He nodded his head.

“Why don’t you dance with the both of us?”

I looked at Bo.

“When you spin and change into the other dress, you’ll start dancing with me.”

I looked at Deimos.

“That’ll create one hell of a statement.”

I nodded my head then looked at the designer.

“Well, let’s get to dancing.”

He ran off and started talking to the DJ.

“It’s time for the mate dancing that will be started off by the Alphas.”

The three of us walked to the center of the room and Kyree went to grab my hand but Deimos beat him to it.

“Dance with your whore.”

He shook his head.

“Enough!”

The music stopped and he glared at Deimos.

“Tori, I am here openly admitting that I made a mistake. I was a coward and I slept with Kimmy because she wanted to blackmail me with a death that happened three years ago. I was angry at you and I wanted to feel something other than anger for a moment then you came back a day early and caught me.”

There was chatter in the ground. Kimmy looked down.

“But I am here to tell you how sorry I am and that I hope you forgive me, as your mate.”

Deimos scoffed.

“Let’s make one thing clear here.”

He walked up and grabbed my hand.

“She’s moved on.”

Kyree stared and I looked at Kimmy.

“Tori?”

I balled up some energy and started burning off my mark as I looked him in the eyes. He started groaning in pain because destroying our mark means our mate bond is gone too.

“You are no longer my mate.”

I stiffened up my core and Deimos kept me up because I was starting to lose consciousness because of the pain.

“Now, let’s get back to the ceremony.”

I looked at the DJ and he started playing the music. Deimos took my hand and we started dancing and I saw that Cole was dancing with his mate as well.

“Breath. No one can see your face right now besides me. I know that hurt you more than you let on.”

“I just burned off my mate mark.”

“I know. You can transfer the pain to me.”

“No, I have to feel it.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. I’ll be fine.”

He nodded his head then I saw Bo and he was ready. I nodded my head.

“Spin.”

Deimos spun me and I felt the dress start to catch flames. It formed into a deep crimson red and black gown with a leg slit and open back. Bo grabbed my hands and we started dancing while the crowd gasped.

“You are stunning.”

I blushed then I saw Deimos standing there with my Nana.

“She’s getting stronger, I can see it.”

“It’s because of the pain she’s going through right now Melody.”

“How’s the training?”

“Athena and my father are going to teach her how to fight and win. My mother is going to teach her how to become a seductress.”

“And you?”

“I’m going to help with her energy work. She’s already strong when it comes to it, but she needs guidance. Last night I taught her to connect mind waves and I was able to see her past.”

“Well?”

“Your son, he scares her to this day but they haven’t talked in years.”

“She cut him off because he became just like Scott.”

“That’s a problem.”

“I tried looking for her parents, they’re dead. My son is dead.”

My eyes got wide and Bo noticed immediately.

“What’s wrong Tori?”

“My parents, they’re dead.”

He grabbed my hand then we walked off of the dance floor. He took me to a separate room and hugged me.

“I’m so sorry you found out like that.”

“Why didn’t she tell me?”

My Nana came in with Deimos and they saw us hugging.

“What’s wrong?”

Bo stood in front of me.

“Melody, why didn’t you tell Tori about her parents?”

She looked at me and shook her head.

“Damn that wolf hearing.”

I shook my head.

“I had to find out by listening to your conversation across the room.”

She went to grab my hand but Bo pushed me behind him.

“Why don’t you give her a moment alone.”

She nodded her head then walked out. The two of them stood there challenging each other with their eyes.

“Can you two leave me here alone for a moment? A lot has happened and I haven’t had a moment alone in a while.”

They agreed then walked out. I stood there trying to collect my thoughts but all I could think about was Kyree. I wanted to hate him and be mad but at the same time, I was still heavily in love with him. I shook my head and I knew what I had to do, I had to do everything I could do to forget all about him.

I took a breath and put up my mask, that I was fine. I walked out and as soon as I walked into the room, I saw Deimos and Bo there.

“You want to go?”

“The party is just getting started.”

I smirked at the two of them and went over to the bar.

“Whiskey on the rocks please.”

The bartender made my drink and I knocked it back. He refilled my drink and I knocked that back too. I walked away and I found my beta.

“Michael.”

“Yes Alpha?”

“Please, just call me Tori.”

“Okay.”

“I need a favor.”

“What is it?”

I smirked then told him what I needed him to do. He looked shocked then nodded his head.

“Right now?”

“Yes.”

He nodded his head then went to do what I had asked him to do. I saw Daniel and he came over and congratulated me.

“Your mark.”

“I know. It hurts like hell right now.”

“I bet it does. I’ve never heard of someone burning off their mark and breaking their bond.”

“Well, I can’t be mated to someone that would rather sleep with a woman than accept the consequences. I can’t be with a cheater or someone that gets mad that I’m stronger than he is.”

“What?”

“We got into a fight before I left. He was upset that I was going to be trained to be even more powerful than I already am.”

“Be careful. It’s starting to sound like you have a God complex.”

“Considering I’m with a God right now, it makes sense.”

“What?”

“Deimos. He and his brother both want me but right now, I want myself and I want to be able to tell Kyree to f**k himself.”

“Be careful with that. God’s are selfish beings that don’t have human feelings.”

“Oh you have no clue. I’ve been with them for two days and I’ve felt nothing but their emotions.”

“Are you sure?”

“Believe me, I know what I’m talking about.”

“God’s can mark humans and other beings.”

“How?”

“You have to let him have complete control of you, brand you, and you can be mated to him in a way. It’s very complicated to explain but only do it if you are very serious about him. Because you can’t burn that one off. He’d have to kill you.”

I nodded my head then Cole came up to me.

“Let’s dance.”

I chuckled then he guided me to the floor and we started dancing together.

“How painful was burning your mark off?”

“Extremely. I felt like I was about to pass out but Deimos started taking some of it and the fear away.”

“Who is he?”

“A Greek God. Him and his brother Phobos.”

“Wow. You’re dating a God.”

“Not really dating. We are just sleeping together.”

He looked baffled.

“You’ve slept with him already?”

“Last night after I saw Kyree with Kimmy. I felt nothing but hurt and I needed to do something to take my mind off of it. So we slept together and honestly, it was amazing.”

He chuckled.

“Considering they have been having s*x for thousands of years, I think he’s perfected his s*x game.”

“Well I’m glad that he did ‘cause wow.”

He chuckled again then the song ended. We walked off the floor and he brought me over to Deimos and Bo.

“I’m just dropping her off.”

He bowed his head then walked away.

“Why don’t we head back? You have a big day tomorrow.”

“Okay.”

We walked outside and they opened a door. We went through the garden and walked into the training room. Everyone looked surprised to see us and I walked up to my room with the two of them behind me. Once I got in there, I took a breath and took my dress off then hung it up with my white one from yesterday. I got in the shower and washed off all of the makeup, the hair products, everything.

I changed into my red and black uniform and went to the training room. I started running on the treadmill and I ran for about thirty minutes. Deimos came down and caught my attention.

“Why are you training?”

“Because I haven’t trained in two days and I need to pick it back up because I’ve been slacking.”

“Tori, don’t stress yourself out.”

“I’m already at my max right now. I lost my mate, I’m an official Alpha, everyone thinks that we are dating, and I’m just trying to clear some other things in my head.”

“I didn’t know about your parents. That was the first I heard about that.”

I shook my head.

“Would you have told me?”

“It’s not for me to tell you about. I told her that she needed to talk to you about it then we saw you and my brother sneak out of there and I felt your pain.”

“That’s when you two came in.”

“Yes.”

I nodded my head then I turned the treadmill off. I wrapped my wrists and started boxing. I started with a five count then started building up to an eight count. He walked away when he realized that he wasn’t going to convince me to stop and I continued boxing all night. I looked up at the clock and saw that it was almost eleven at night and I was drenched in sweat.

“Keep going.”

I saw Athena standing there.

“Why?”

“Because when you’re tired, it's when your anger needs to take over.”

I shook my head.

“I’m tired because I worked it out.”

“No, you were working out. Not working it out.”

“How would you know what it looks like for me?”

“I’m one of two Gods that know the true difference and you’re going to be working with the both of us. Now, keep going.”

I turned around and continued punching the bag.

“That’s it? You’re pathetic.”

I ignored her and kept going until she gave up.

“Why would he ever think we could work with you? You’re weak and nothing compared to the real warriors I’ve fought with.”

I reached over to the table and threw a throwing knife at her and it almost hit her between her eyes. She caught it before it did and smiled at me.

“What’d I say? Anger shows when you’re tired.”

“I’ve had the longest two days of my life.”

“Congrats, you’re experiencing life.”

I showed her the past two days and she looked shocked. I showed her glimpses but I didn’t show her last night.

“You burned your mark off?”

“Yes.”

“Bold.”
