Lucas let loose of his belt, and his trouser slid down his legs, he buried his lips in the crook of Diana's neck.

Diana winced in pain and scurried away from the room, but when she twisted the doorknob it refused to give way.

Her heart sank, she tugged at the doorknob frantically, forcing it to give way “don't bother”

She heard his low rumbling voice that sent chills down her spine, she looked behind, her eyes clouded with fear.

Diana saw Lucas still sleeping soundly like he wasn't the one who prevented her from stabbing him and the one who sent her flying out of the bed with just a kick.

Summating all these, she became more terrified of Lucas.

She stayed away from the bed, when daylight came, sunlight shone in the room.

Lucas went to the bathroom and showered, he came out and wore his shirt and trouser.

He saw Diana leaning on the wall, sleeping, when she heard his footfalls toward the door, she sprang up to her feet and scampered away from the door in fear.

Lucas glanced at her "I don't want to see you in my inn anymore" he warned,

and opened the door, he moved out of the room and saw Drake pacing the doorways.

Drake froze when he saw him, Lucas's lips curled up, and he chuckled walking away, he came out of the mansion, and a car pulled over.

“I hope I am on time” the driver inquired curiously, Lucas nodded, and opened the door, he entered the car.

He silently sat down by his side and gave the building one last glance and smirked, before driving away, “Lucas, the pack Elders have assembled to meet you” he informed him.

Lucas looked away, “drive me there” he instructed, and the both of them drove for an hour and returned to the metropolis of the city.

He alighted and the both of them walked into the building, they arrived in the hall and saw the pack Elders all sitting.

They stood when Lucas came in, he sat in the executive chair and swept his gaze on the “sit” he told them.

And all of them sat, “I know why you called me here, the full moon is here, you…”

He pointed to one of them, “you will take care of the recruitment of new members, I don't want any weak wolf in our pack”

He concluded and reclined on the chair, “Alpha Lucas, we are not here for that” one of the elders called his attention.

Lucas gave him an askance look, “so why are you people here?” he asked them, he took a deep breath and glanced at the others sitting by his sides.

Another Elder closer to Lucas chimed in, “for your mate, it is time for you to attend the wolf ritual” he reminded him.

Alpha Lucas chuckled, “I will, I know I am going to have a Luna that is strong as I am, let's drink to our future Luna,” he said boisterously.

The entrance door opened, and people started coming in with bottles of wine, and glasses.

After they poured wine into their glasses, all of them gulped it down, and beamed, after the shared drink, Lucas sneaked out.

He met with his driver, “are you going to the mating ritual?” he asked Lucas.

Lucas chuckled and nodded, “I will, do I have a choice?” he reposted, and the driver chuckled.

He entered the car, and the both of them drive away, “take me to a boutique, I want to get an outfit for the bonding ritual” he told the driver.

Mark nodded and diverted, the both of them arrived at a boutique, and they alighted from the car.

He squinted his eyes at the girl been pushed away from the boutique.

“I am not employing you anymore, leave here” the woman yelled at her, Lucas remembered her, the girl last night, the weak wolf.

He pursed his lips tightly, wondering why such a weak existence, always appear before him.

Mark was also surprised, he had never seen such a fragile werewolf, and even humans also bully her.

Luciana lowered her head in shame, and didn't say a word, the woman embarrassed her to her content.

Onlookers threw glances at her, Lucas retracted his gaze from her, he didn't understand why she always looked so timid, and shy, even to raise her head, she refused.

He put his hands behind, and strode inside the shopping mall, followed by Mark, his driver, from behind.

Luciana sneak peaked at the man, wondering why his wolf scent is so strong, and he looked dangerously handsome.

The security man at the door gritted his teeth, he was rejected by Luciana when he asked her out since she is kicked out of the store.

He could also humiliate her, with long strides, neglecting his duty as a doorman, he walked up to Luciana and sneered “what are you looking at wretched i***t?”

Luciana ignored him and peeked behind him, when Lucas turned around, she retracted her gaze, her face flushed, and she started walking away, at a fast pace.

The security was left standing hopelessly, his face ashen, he twirled his leg around and pretended to pick something on the concrete ground, before retreating to his doorman position.

Lucas bought a white outfit and left the store with Mark talking non-stop about his new knowledge of Luciana.

Lucas barely put up with the chatterbox, which is buzzing in his ears, “silence!” he ordered when the both of them got into the car.

He felt very nervous, and the thought of bonding with a mate today, made him even more nervous.

He wished not to have a mate like Luciana, he hated weakness to the core.

Luciana arrived at her apartment, clutching her bag, she looked so tired, that she fumbled with her keys and opened the door.

Her foot pinned on the floor, her eyes widened, and she immediately bowed “Alpha” her soft voice called out to the man.

Who sat in a chair, with a burly man, standing behind him “Derek” he added, and chuckled, even the burly man behind him also laughed.

Derek is the Alpha of the Blue pack, which Luciana was a member of, they don't involve Luciana in any of their activities, they consider her a burden.

Even her parents were outcasts, her father married a human, and the pack ostracize him, even until death, they regarded him as an outcast.

Luciana knows about this history, that is why she is surprised to see the Alpha in her apartment “Luciana, today is the mate bonding day, I won't hold it against you, what your parents did, so, I will gladly extend the invitation so that you could bond with a mate that could compliment you, and end your suffering”

He spoke with a gentle smile, and Luciana nodded without looking at him.

Derek dropped an invitation card on the table, containing the address of the mate bonding castle.
