1577 Words
The mansion was getting ready for the feast. The staff was frantically running up and down the marble floors in order to prepare everything. Upon entering the mansion, one could see a huge round table full of white roses. Behind the table, the stairs had vines going up and were divided left and right as the stairs changed direction in the middle. A huge canvas full of painted hydrangeas and other flowers could be seen in the middle of the stairs with golden details around it.  The entrance room was huge with a high ceiling and a long crystal chandelier hanging from above. At the left side, the big dining room doors were open and at the right side as well, the living room doors also open. This gave the idea that the whole place was one huge room full of beautiful roses and other flowers in pastel colors. The dining room had multiple round tables and at the end of the room there was a big horizontal table where the Lightclaw pack members would be sitting. The room had enormous windows with white curtains giving a sense of purity. The hues of white and teal along with the dark wood detailing on the ceiling and floor was giving off a pleasant vibe all over the room. It wasn't very grand to the point of mistaking it with a palace, but it was elegant and minimal with a homey vibe.  The guests started to arrive, and Conan showed them the way in the entrance room. Everyone was so excited to finally see where the mysterious Lightclaw pack reside, and nobody felt disappointed when they saw their pack house. It was grand, elegant, and minimal. Everyone started mingling in the entrance room and started drinking before dinner. The Lightclaw pack members, also, started mingling and taking part in conversations with others since they were the focus of the feast. Some werewolves from the Lightclaw pack would secretly peek towards the stairs in the hopes of seeing a certain someone that didn't used to attend such events. ----- Raina's pov ----- 'It's time to head down.' Accalia said with determination in my mind. I slowly walked out of my room and headed towards the stairs. 'Let's not dissapoint anyone.' The first one to notice the scent was Gamma Hyde. He knew this scent so well and always held it dear in his heart. As the minutes passed, the Lightclaw werewolves fell into silence and turned to look at the stairs ignoring their conversations. Noticing their reaction, everyone in the entrance room looked at each other in question. A weird yet pleasant floral smell filled the room. The werewolves were looking around for the source of this smell and some could not even help but feel excited. At the top of the stairs, a woman was seen walking slowly towards the middle section. She wore a long deep red satin dress. The dress highlighted her pale skin and showed off the woman's tattoos on her left arm as well as her gold chain jewelry on her neck that followed the deep V neckline of the dress. She wore gold high heels with straps that looked like snakes going up her ankles. Her pure white hair was held back from covering her face with what seemed like a golden V-like-tiara ending just above the middle of her eyebrows. Her lips in contrast with her hair had a shiny black lipstick. As she reached the middle where the left and right stairs joined, she stopped and looked down with a smirk. Every Lightclaw werewolf bowed down as they waited for the mysterious woman to talk. The other guests feeling the powerful aura of the woman bowed their head down too. Only Alpha Rollin his Midnight pack did not, earning growls from Hyde and the other pack mates. That's when Rollin and his pack also lowered their heads. 'Dear guests. Velkominn to the Lightclaw Packhouse!' I said with a gentle voice as everyone slowly looked up to me and I smiled. 'Please. Enjoy the drinks and food because tomorrow the festival starts!' I exclaimed and soon everyone started applauding.  Everyone was so mesmerized by this woman. She was not like the other she-wolves. Her aura and her scent were so different and mysterious. 'Are we not going to meet your Alpha again?!' Rollin shouted at me gaining some surprised and angry looks. 'She is not even the Luna of this pack and everyone bowed down.'  I saw everyone looking confused by Rollin's words as he continued. 'My pack came the other day in the hopes of meeting the Alpha of the Lightclaw pack but instead we were greeted by a butler and a Gamma. She was the one who admitted that she is not the Luna!' 'Oh, we are in for a fun night!' Accalia said excitingly in my mind. Every werewolf turned to me and waited for my response not knowing how to react. Seriously, this is our first feast and I have to deal with that scumbag in front of everyone.  'I see.. I did not make myself clear then, Alpha Rollin.' I said and let out a smirk. 'I am indeed not the Luna but..' I paused wanting everyone to hear my words. 'I am the Alpha of the Lightclaw pack.' Everyone started whispering in the room and seeing the unrest from everyone Rollin took the advantage to talk. 'A she-wolf can never be an Alpha! A woman is always the Luna, destined to serve and bow to her man!' Rollin said gaining looks of approval around the room.  Low growls could be heard all over the room by the Lightclaw pack. Everyone sensed the tense atmosphere and turned to me for an explanation fearing that the feast would end in a bloodbath. To hell with the feast. I can't stand this misogynist bastard.  'I bow to no man. I serve no man. And most definitely, I'm not a she-wolf.' I said with a loud voice full of confidence. The room fell into silence. I slowly walked down the stairs and towards the middle where Alpha Rollin was. Everyone was speechless and stepped behind for me to walk forming a path.  'How can a she-wolf be an Alpha? She-wolves have the position of the Luna.' I heard the whispers say.  As Alpha Rollin saw me getting close, he straightened his back and shifted his right hand into a claw. Seeing this I mind-linked my pack to relax and let me handle the situation. This was the moment I was waiting for. The other packs were dumbfounded looking at the scene unfolding in front of them nobody dared to do anything.  'What a shame. How can they live with a clear mind if they don't help a poor woman against such a strong man.' I thought sarcastically and Accalia laughed in my mind.  In an instance, a tall, black haired man walked and stood between me and Rollin. He turned his back on me and looked at Rollin.  'Your wish did not go to waste.' Accalia said in my mind. 'Well that's not the right way to thank our host for this feast isn't it, Alpha Rollins?' he said in a low voice. Alpha Rollin recognized the tall man with the grey eyes. And I recognized that voice. He was Kieran. The Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack, one of the strongest packs following close behind Lightclaw. 'This is not a feast. This is a joke!' Rollin shouted.  Kieran looked coldly at Rollin sending shivers down his spine as Rollins shifted his hand again back to human. Rollin submitted to Kieran knowing he was stronger than him.  As Kieran turned around, he was too met with shivers down his spine, only this time he understood the real danger. Just when he turned, his eyes met with a pair of pure white eyes with red pupils. The woman was now emanating a powerful and dangerous aura. Kieran was speechless. He never met eyes like that. Those eyes belonged to myths and legends. Everyone in the room was left speechless as they bowed down to their knees. I smiled dangerously as I showed my shining white sharp canines. My lip ring shined under the light of the chandelier and my eyes were fixed on the man of the second strongest pack. He is handsome. His black hair was slipped back and his eyes looked like they could pierce your soul if they wanted to. Much to my surprise he's not wearing a suit like all the others here. His relaxed appearance is actually sexy. What a man... 'He is brave too.' Accalia said and I was shocked that she complimented someone. 'It's a shame to tear such a beautiful dress.' I heard Kieran telling me softly with an unstable voice while bowing down, not sure if this was the last sentence before his death. Oh his voice was so peaceful. So strong and manly.. 'It's a shame for women to be underestimated don't you think?' I responded with a cold tone trying to focus back on Rollin. Everyone in the room then understood why the Lightclaw pack is so powerful. Their Alpha is a Lycan. A female Lycan to be precise. The only one alive. Kieran tried to remember the stories he knew about Lycans in the hope of finding anything to help him get out of this dangerous situation..
