CHAPTER 3: MY PRINCESS

Cassius POV

The feeling of Aurora's lips is still lingering on mine and I crave for her more now. My c**k is still straining against my pants and I have to take a moment just for it to go down. I don't want to walk into this place with a hard-on. I am so pissed right now because I got called away for this and I don't get to spend the rest of the afternoon with my princess, instead, I am right here where a crime has taken place. Damien and I sent Cornelius, Dante and Daniel on a mission along with some more of our warriors. We got word that Marco was seen in Soweto, Johannesburg.

Marco was long gone by the time the guys got to his location but they did come across something else though. They came across the bodies of five human females that went missing a month ago. Damien can't make it because he is in a meeting so I was called instead. I get out of the car and head inside the warehouse where they found the girls. Cornelius approaches me when I walk inside.

"What do you have?" I ask him. "We found the bodies of the five human girls that went missing in Soweto last month. They have bite marks all over their bodies. It seems that they have been drained of all of their blood." Cornelius replies. "Vampires." I reply and he nods. I walk with him to where all the bodies were found. "Have you found anything else?" I ask him. "No King Cassius." He replies. I crouch down next to one of the bodies to take a closer look.

I notice that there is some residue around her neck where the bite marks are. I walk over to the other bodies and look at the bite marks on their necks and I notice that they also have the same residue around some of the bite marks. "Hand me a swab and a plastic bag." I ask Cornelius. He then takes the items out of the bag that he has with him and hands them over to me. I take a sample of the residue and smell it.

"Drugs. But I have no idea what type of drug this is. Send this sample to the lab and have them test it." I say to Cornelius. "What about the bodies?" Cornelius asks me. "Have them moved to the company's hospital. I want Dr. Bennett to do an autopsy on all of them. Report it back to me once you receive the results." I say to him. "Yes Sir." He replies. "Make sure this doesn't leak out to the media because the last thing we need is another shitstorm on our doorstep." I say as I walk out of the building.

I get back into my car and I drive back to the coven where I have some business to take care of for the Kingdom. As I walk into my office I see someone sitting in the chair in front of my table. "Mr. Whitmore. To what may I owe you the pleasure of your visit?" I ask the man who has decided to invite himself over without making an appointment with me first. Mr. Whitmore is the head of the vampire council and he is always up my ass about something. Honestly, I can't stand the guy. There is something off about him today.

"King Cassius, I am here on behalf of the Vampire Council. Since you decided that it was a good idea to ignore all my calls to have this meeting. Now I have had to come out here to have an unprepared meeting with you." He replies. He is right. I have been ignoring his calls. "It seems that you are prepared but I am not. Can you please tell me why exactly you are here for?" I say a little bit annoyed. I go and sit on my chair.

"The council wants you to take a Queen as soon as possible." Mr. Whitmore says making me glare at him. So this is why he came to see me. "You need to take a woman soon and make her queen because we want to see an heir to the throne of the Kingdom soon." He adds. "If you don't have someone in mind then I am happy to say that we can help you in that department." He continues while ignoring the pissed-off look on my face. I know exactly who they have in mind but I am not about to let that b***h into my Kingdom.

"Councilman Whitmore, that is fascinating and all but I am afraid that I will have to decline the offer." I say to the asshole. He glares at me as well. "And why is that?" he asks. "I am waiting for my true beloved. You have known that for the last 60 years or so. That will not change anytime soon." I say as I take out my phone and dial a number. "My office now. And bring two more warriors with you." I say to the person over the phone and hang up. Seconds later, Henry, who is my warrior walk into my office. "You called for us King Cassius?" Henry says.

"Yes. Please escort Councilman Whitmore out of the coven grounds and tell the guards at the gates that he is not allowed here without having an appointment with me first." I reply. "King Cassius you cannot put this off any longer, if anything happens to you then the Kingdom is doomed without an heir to the throne." Councilman Whitmore says. "I can take care of myself thank you very much." I say as I look over to Henry and I nod at him. He and the other warriors grab Councilman Whitmore by his arms and they drag him out of the door.

I walk to the window and I see that they are putting him in his car with Henry getting in alongside him. The other warriors are getting inside another car. Henry is driving the car with Councilman Whitmore in the passenger seat. They are escorting him to the coven gates. I walk back to my desk and I open one of my locked drawers. I take out a picture of me and Aurora taken a few years ago at one of her birthday parties. I have quite a few pictures of us together. I go through every one of them.

I got to do that most vampires and werewolves can only dream about. I got to watch my true beloved grow up in front of me. I got to see her as an adorable little pup and now she is a gorgeous young woman. Most of the males at her pack have crushes on her. I know about that because when I am on pack grounds, I can hear them whispering about her. Most of them are hoping that she would be their mate but she is mine and everyone will know that soon.

I think about what happened between us a few hours ago and how her lips felt on mine. Those soft lips crushed against mine. Just the thought of that, makes my c**k twitch in my pants. I look at the clock and I see that is almost 6 pm, which means Aurora is almost done with training. I decide to join them for dinner. I am always there anyways so they keep an extra seat for me. Plus I get to see my Princess.

I pull up to the packhouse at around 6:30 pm and as I walk in, I see the beta's daughter, Cassandra coming out of the kitchen. "Hey, Cassandra how are you? Do you perhaps know where Aurora is?" I ask her. "Hello, King Cassius. I am fine, thank you for asking. I think Aurora is in her room." She says and I nod at her. I then head over to Aurora's room on the Alpha floor. I can't smell Damien or Thalia's scent up here. They must be in their offices then.

I knock on Aurora's door but no one answers but I hear her shower running. I walk into her room and I hear her turning the taps in the shower. "Cass is that you?" She yells from the bathroom. "Yes." I reply. I love the nickname that she has given me. No one else calls me Cass but her.

"Oh my Goddess! Can you do me a favor and hand me the clothes that are laid out on the bed for me?" She asks as she pops her hand out by the bathroom door. I give her her clothes. She grabs them and closes the bathroom door again. As much as I would like to see Aurora naked right now, I respect her privacy so I back down a bit. I know that I have to wait until her 18th birthday.

I hear the bathroom door going open and Aurora comes walking out, wearing a beautiful white sundress. Her wet hair is draping over her shoulders. But it is not the dress and the hair that takes my breath away, it is her beauty. I walk over to her and I start caressing both her cheeks with my hands. Her warm skin against my cold fingers. "You look so beautiful." I say while I look into her big beautiful silver eyes. She smiles at me.

"Are you going to have dinner with us?" She asks me. "Yes." I say and then I lean in, kissing her on the lips. She kisses me back and I can smell her arousal. Just before it gets steamy, her phone rings. She pulls away first. "Dammit." She says with an annoyed look on her face. She picks up her phone that is on the nightstand and answers it while trying to compose herself after happened just now. "Honey. Dinner is ready." I hear Thalia say to her. Aurora doesn't have her wolf yet so she can't mind link yet. She has to call someone whenever she needs something or she goes and gets it herself. "I will be there in five minutes."She replies.

"Dinner is ready and my hair is still wet." She says as she takes out her hairdryer. "I can help you with that." I say as I take the hairdryer from her hands. She nods and then she sits down on the chair that is in front of her mirror. I quickly help her dry her hair and then I tie her hair into a ponytail, deliberately running my hands through her skin. She moans whenever I touch her, indicating that she loves my touch on her skin.

She gets up and holds her hand out to me. I take it and we leave her room and walk down the hall to the stairs. She turns around and kisses me again. I grab her hips and pull her closer to me, I deepen the kiss when she opens her lips, my tongue exploring every inch of her mouth. When she pulls away, she puts her forehead to mine. "I love doing that." She says. "And I love kissing you too." I reply and she smiles at me. "

She gives me a confused look but she doesn't say anything at all. We continue walking hand in hand down the stairs. We enter the dining room and everyone is looking at us. They are not used to Aurora and I walking in there with our fingers intertwined. Aurora leads me to the table and she picks the two seats that are open next to Thalia and Damien. Damien is glaring at me but I just shrug at him. He knows I can't stay away from his daughter for too long. "You are late." Damien growls while he is looking at Aurora.

Alexander is sitting across the table from us with his arms folded over his chest. And the Betas and Gammas are just looking at us. I decide to ignore them and I turn my attention back to my princess.

"I know dad and I am sorry that we are late. Can we eat now because I am starving." Aurora says as she gives her dad her puppy dog eyes. Damien just nods his head. We start digging into the delicious food that Dolores and the other omegas have prepared for us.

"I want to see you in my office after dinner Cassius." Damien says. "Okay." I reply knowing full well what he is going to say.

After dinner, Aurora goes back to her room to finish her schoolwork while I join Damien in his office. "What the hell do you think you are doing with my daughter? Walking into the dining room with your hand in hers!" He whisper yells to me. "I don't know if you remember this but your daughter is my true beloved and you know very well that I cannot stay away from her for too long. So you are just going to have to get used to us walking hand in hand around here wolfboy." I reply and he wants to say something else but my phone rings.

I take it out of my pocket and I see that it is Cornelius calling me. "Its Cornelius. I hope he found out anything about those five female human bodies we found." I say to Damien and he nods at me. He already knows about the warehouse where we found the bodies. I answer the phone.

Cassius: "What do you have for me?"

Cornelius: "King Cassius. The drug tests came back from the lab. It is heroin."

Cassius: "I see and what about the bodies?"

Cornelius: "I just received the autopsy reports back from Dr. Bennett. He says that all of the girls showed signs of physical abuse, most of their bones were cracked indicating that they were severely beaten regularly."

Cassius: "s**t. "

Cornelius: "One of the warriors found the security footage of this warehouse. We were looking at it. Sirius and Marco Falcone are in it with another. It looks like an elf. A dark elf at that. We are looking into this elf but so far we have found nothing. Also, there is something else. One of the other warriors found a room, it looks like an office. There are pictures everywhere. The pictures are of Dark Moon pack. They are mostly of the Luna." Damien looks up at me and I know that he has heard what Cornelius has said.

Cassius: "Send me the security footage and bring the pictures over here to the Dark Moon pack first thing tomorrow morning."

Cornelius: "Yes my King."

"So we have a dark elf problem now as well." Damien says. "Yep." I reply. "We will talk tomorrow and try to get to the bottom of this." Damien says. "I am tired and my mate is waiting for me." He says as he walks out the door and I follow him. I then head to my room and take a quick shower before I head over to my Princess's room. She opens the door for me in her cute pink pajamas and lets me inside.

"Good. You're here. I have a math problem that I need you to help me with." She says as she grabs my hand and drags me over to the couch where she always does her homework. I decide to help her with her homework like I always do and soon she understands how to do this math answer. I help her pack away her books and then I lay on the couch with her in my arms. She looks me in the eyes. "This feels so right. You here with me in your arms." She says and I kiss her on her forehead. She lays her head on my chest and we watch some movie that is on her tv.

Aurora falls asleep in my arms and I just lay there playing with her hair, thinking that I am so lucky to have this beautiful angel with me here. A while later I drift off to dreamland as well.
